Calculation of heat and force field UniGear ZS1
Mokrý, Lukáš ; ABB, Drahomír Tůma, (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
The aim of my work is to describe high-voltage switchgear type UniGear 500R, which is part of UniGear switchgears family. I will focus on heating issue of one 500R unit and its parts during operation. Maximum values of this heating is limited by standards and can´t be exceed to ensure safe and reliable operation. That is why the heating tests are necessary part of designing and developing switchgears. Calculation will be made by two different ways. First is classic one-pole heating net method and second is numerical simulation in Solidworks flow simulation program. Except the theoretical description there will be presented also used 3D model and explanation of both method, used to calculation and simulation. Last point of this work is measuring of this type of switchgear and getting real data. The main point there is to compare measured values with values calculated and decide if is possible to simulate tests with appropriate accuracy. Then would be also possible to substitute the real test in laboratory, which costs many thousand crowns and takes lots hours of time. This work is collaborated with EJF division of ABB Company, where I am employed. Heating issues in this company is always on process, because of developing and improving of their products. So this work could be helpful in this field. ABB provides all materials needed, especially technical catalogues, 3D model and final values from laboratory measuring. Support from college faculty is mainly in study consultations and proposing of calculations making. In the end of work will be make final comparison and evaluation of achieved results.
Dedicated machine for forming of jerrican spouts
Podolan, Luděk ; Ing.Pavel Cícha, Evropský polytechnický institut, Kunovice (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is detail description of theory, design process and final realization of single-purpose machine for pressing canister funnels. Theoretical section of this work covers manufacturing standards of the electrical cabinets, options for the single-purpose machine control with focus on the programmable logic controller e.g. PLC, PLC control program concept with definition of the main alarm states and description of two types of electrical cabinet. Practical part contains description of the electrical cabinet, its block diagram, photo documentation of the wiring (chapter 4.), chosen PLC type, its advantages and detail program description using Ladder diagram notation, communication with operator realized with touch LCD panel, programming environment for this LCD panel and program realization process. Finalized machine description and its photo documentation in manufacturing process is covered in the end. This diploma thesis is based and extends previously successfully defended semester project.
Simulation of Heat Transfer in Low-Voltage Switchboard MNS - Optimization of Heat Transfer into The Switchboard
Czudek, Aleš ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The thesis includes diagnostics temperature field of industrial low voltage. Place of origin, flow and heat transfer are important aspects in the design of the switchgear, especially in terms of proper equipment layout. The correctness of the design of the switchgear is verified by measuring the practical temperature field during testing or in work mode. To determine the temperature profile, it is necessary to measure the temperature at various points of the switchgear, either contact or contactless method. Measurements are performed on standardized low voltage switchboards, which are located power elements. The goal is to replace costly and time-consuming field testing switchgear efficient simulation of the temperature field mathematical model developed switchboards.
Implementation of the new ABB SACE Emax 2 air circuit breaker series in a low-voltage MNS switchgear product portfolio
Studený, Michal ; ABB, Vladimír Horych, (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The Master’s Thesis comprises a summary of the differences existing design of MNS switchgear series against AGOMIN project innovative proposal. The introduction deals with the introduction to the CAD program SolidWorks and its extension for enterprise data management SolidWorks Enterprise PDM. The body of the paper deals with a new range of air circuit breakers ABB SACE Emax 2 and their implementation into the product line of low voltage switchgears. Included are other improvements that together with implementation of circuit breakers AGOMIN project brings.
Containerized Low-Voltage/ Middle-Voltage Substations
Marcol, Michal ; Loutocký, Evžen (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
As it is already apparent from a title of my work, I will be engaged in proposal of container VN/NN distributor using components from company ABB. This work will be after final making also used by company ABB to simplify procedure of proposal of any kind of container distributor. In my labor I will be generally deal with individual products, which will after that be used in distributor. Next I will be engaged in particular making of distributor, which should be made. The distributor will be designed for a separate part of the transformer and for a transformer as a unit, which is not separated from substation.
Design of 22 kV Cable Network in the Existing Complex of Faculty Hospital
Blažek, Tomáš ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This thesis describes the reconstruction network 10 kV HV networks in a teaching hospital in the transition to a new 22 kV voltage level according to valid regulations. The paper describes the current state of technological equipment and its gradual replacement with new technology at 22 kV voltage level in each power units so as not to limit the operation of the hospital. For this purpose, the new backup system for rotating spare resources. The thesis deals with new input distribution, which will serve as a transfer point between the customer and distributor of electricity as well as advance the existing technological equipment.
Project of Outgoing Transformer Unit for the Photovoltaic Power Station
Hanák, Miroslav ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This master’s thesis engages in project of outgoing transformer unit for the photovoltaic power station. It describes project and its design documentation what conducts to practising of construction. It has compared investing to more expansive transformer what has lower loss. It describes charges of operation’s transformer in twenty years. It leads project of cable low voltage. It compares whether is better to use aluminium or cupric cables. Project is led with respect for investment costs and minimum of operation loss.
Control systems of Kaplan Turbine
Pavelka, František ; Kárník, Jan (referee) ; Fic, Miloslav (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor´s thesis is to list briefly the most common types of water turbines and explain the construction and especially regulation of Kaplan water turbine. Second task is to describe individually both regulatory mechanisms and movements in the machine during the regulation by distributor and by blades of runner wheel. The next intention is to describe the influence of regulation on the efficiency curve and further briefly explain and compare the modern control systems of turbine regulation with the old way using the centrifugal regulator.
Softwarová aplikace pro automatizovanou kontrolu objednaného materiálu podle výrobní dokumentace
Švestka, Marek
Švestka, M. The software application for automated control of ordered material according to production documentation. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2014. The thesis deals with design and implementation of applications for structural composition monitoring of the switchgear.
Hydraulická štípačka dřeva - koncepční řešení
Pospíšil, Jakub
This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of different concepts of currently produced hydraulic log splitters. It analyses the most important functional units, their structures, the principles of auxiliary mechanisms that facilitate work and improve safety. Log splitters are classified and evaluated according to the most important criteria. The thesis presents different ways to drive log splitters with an emphasis on the efficiency of their use. Thanks to the possibility to control the operating performance, speed is increased while maintaining high cutting forces. Conclusion of the thesis contains draft of author's basic hydraulic, strength and operational parameters calculations.
