Šťastná, Petra ; Otčenášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Brouček, Stanislav (referee)
The thesis is concentrated on a diaspora from the former Yugoslavian countries, a special stress is put on the new generations. There are several factors which do influence the minorities - such as impact of a family, institutional, socio-cultural and historical atributes. Another important fact is Denmark's immigration and integration policy. Nevertheless, the formation of identity and belonging is highly affected by all mentioned. The analysis is held towards the transnationalism, integration/assimilation tendencies and hybridity in the behavior of the diaspora members. It should answer some general questions about the situation of ethnical minorities from the former Yugoslavia in this part of Europe as well as it should outline the distinction of these minorities in some neigboring countries. However, the current problematics of self- determination, mainly among the youth, should be examined too. Key words migration, acculturation, assimilation, ethnicity, Yugoslavia, Denmark
