Joseph Beran in years 1939 - 1945 This diploma thesis describes one famous and important personality of the Czech Catholic Church - the Prague's archbishop Josef Beran. It summarizes the details of his life during the Second World War in years from 1939 to 1945. Josef Beran was as a Czech patriot, a victim of a prosecution, which followed a successful assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, Reichsprotektor of Bohemia and Moravia, in 1942. He was arrested and deported to the Nazi concentration camp Dachau.
