Effect of glass fibers in the lead-acid batteries for hybrid electric vehicles
Klojda, Viktor ; Tošer, Pavel (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with the utilization of lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime. It describes the side effects known as PCL, generated during PSOC regime and connected with the length of the battery lifespan. One possibility how to eliminate these effects, is the use of additives in active mass of the negative electrode, in the form of glass fibres. The project provides the parametres and reactions of additive, that have lead to the improvement of battery properties. The purpose of this thesis is to verify the positive effect of the aditive on the lifespan of the lead-acid accumulator.

Using lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime
Klojda, Viktor ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on utilization of maintenance-free lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime. It describes paralel and serial draft of hybrid vehicles, their function, advantages and disadvantages. It compares lead-acid accumulators with other sorts of primary, secondary and fuel cells. Purpose of this thesis is to improve the lifetime of lead-acid batteries in PSOC regime and accompanying addition use, as an activ material of negative electrode.

Examination of temperature changes in lead-acid battery system
Starý, Viktor ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
In the automobile industry is always more often talking about hybrid electric vehicles at the present. Functioning of these hybrid automobiles is provided by source of energy. This source is represented by accumulator. When accumulator is working we can see temperature changes. This project is dealing with used types of accumulators for hybrid electric vehicles. In the second phase is dealing with enquiring of temperature changes during different modes of operating.

Investigation pressure effect on lead-acid accumulator lifetime for hybrid electric vehicles.
Kulhány, Andrej ; Bilko, Radek (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on remitting lead-acid segments of partial charge mode which simulates the conditions in HEV. The experimental cells were submitted to different pressures on the electrode system. The main aim of the thesis was to minimize the irreversible sulphating of the negative electrodes, which are in the PSoC regime limiting in the overall life of lead-acid accumulators. All cells were submitted to measurement of the negative electrode potentials, resistance of active materials, contact resistance of the grid – the active material and measurements of pressure changes during three PSoC cycles.

The concept of electric motors used in vehicles
Polnický, Vít ; Repka, Martin (referee) ; Böhm, Michael (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the description of electric drives concepts in current vehicles. In the first part, the basic principle of the electric motor is explained, and different types of electric motors are described in detail. In the next part of the thesis, the electrified vehicles are divided into three groups according to the power share of electric motor for vehicle propulsion. The groups are further subdivided according to the powertrain arrangement in the vehicle, indicating the advantages and disadvantages of each concept. In the third part, specific vehicles from each group are presented and compared in terms of performance, range and price. Finally, the concepts are evaluated and a possible development is outlined.
