Vliv stanovištních podmínek na faunu střevlíkovitých ve smrkových a bukových porostech Beskyd
Rolinc, Petr
In beech and spruce stands in the LS Ostravice in Moravia Silesian Beskydy was realized monitoring of epigeic invertebrates by pitfall traps method. Carabid beetles (Carabidae) were classified as bioindicator group in terms of representation in spruce and beech stands with regard to main typopologic kategories like as forest altitudinal vegetation groups (LVS), edaphic categories (EK) and files of forest types (SLT). Ground beetles communities were evaluated in economic forests and nature reserves. Collecting of ground beetles was realized in period 2007 -- 2014 in the spring, summer, late summer and autumn aspect. In the entire period were captured 67 483 individuals of ground beetles belonged to 77 species. In interest area was confirmed the occurrence of legally protected species and species Natura 2000 (Carabus variolosus Sturm). Another protected and heavilly endagered species was Carabus obsoletus Sturm. Carabus linnei, Pterostichus burmeisteri and Pterostichus foveolatus were eudominant species. The dominant species were represented Abax ovalis, Carabus glabratus and Pterostichus oblongopunctatus. There was proved a relation between carabid beetles and main typologic categories (LVS, EK and SLT). Several species were discovered diference between spruce and beech stands and so between nature reserves and economic forests.
Epigeická fauna v požářišti revíru Bzenec (LS Strážnice)
Prágr, Jakub
The aim of this thesis was to discover the actual condition of the epigeic fauna of a vast fire area (165 ha) in the first growing season after the fire in a habitat in Bzenec (LS Strážnice). Pitfall traps were used to determine the condition of the epigeic fauna. These were placed on sites deforested after the fire, in vegetation left to its natural successional development in a differentiated age after the fire and concurrently in unaffected vegetation. 16,267 specimens of 226 species of mostly epigeic fauna were caught. The impact of habitat conditions changed by the fire and timber harvesting were closely analysed for Carabidae, Araneae, Opiliones and Myriapoda taxons. There was a difference in the species composition of the epigeic fauna between the sites which were disturbed and undisturbed by the fire. Important factors that caused changes in the development and composition of the fauna after the fire were light conditions, humidity and trophic resources of the site. It was proved that the Pterostichus quadrifoveolatus (Carabidae) and Xerolycosa nemoralis (Araneae) species prefered the sites disturbed by the fire. The Carabus violaceus (Carabidae) or Harpactea rubicunda (Araneae) species were mostly bound to the sites undisturbed by the fire.
Comparison of two areas with different level of intensity of agricultural exploitation as concerns the ecosystem services
KUNT, Lukáš
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate two localities with different intensity of agricultural use in terms of ecosystem services provided by nature habitats. In connection with the evaluation of the sites is in the works documented incidence size seminatural habitats, natural calculated value of the studied area using Biotope Vaulation Method (Seják et al., 2003) Application MapoMat developed by the Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape. The value of ecosystem services is determined through expert analysis by replacement cost. There were differences in the value of ecosystem services important habitats between conventional and organic farming at localities 1 and 4. Natural habitat value conventionally used the site has a 2.53 milKč compared to the organic farming locality where the value was estimated at 194.6 milKč, In this context that the value of ecosystem services locations 1 shows a value of 4438.96 milesCZKyear-1 compared to location 4, calling shows a value of 7905.01 milesCZKyear-1. On this basis, were statistically significant differences in both localities in terms of the frequency of diversity factors examined specimens of ground beetles are examined diversity index P <0001.
Zjišťování druhového a početního zastoupení střevlíkovitých (Carabidae, Coleoptera) v přírodní rezervaci Mokřad pod Tipečkem
Hálová, Helena
In 2013, a faunistic research of the Carabidae tribe was carried out in the nature reserve of Mokřad pod Tipečkem (Wetland under Tipeček). The object of the nature reserve protection are waterlogged meadows and plant and animal societies typical for this environment. 12 ground traps were placed in the locality in four different areas (always on a mowed post, an unmowed one, the edge of a wood and the edge of a meadow with a wetland). Altogether, there were 34 species recorded with the total number of 328 individuals, among which there are two signifiant species, Leistus rufomarginatus with 3 individuals and Limodromus krynickii (2 individuals). Limodromus krynickii is recorded on the Red list of endangered species in the Czech Republic. In the above mantioned lokality, the most numerous species recorded were Pterostichus nigrita, Pterostichus niger, Abax parallelepipedus and Abax parallelus. Majority of the detected species are adaptace, prefering damp and umbral environment. The outcomes show that the area on the edge of a wood (area 3) is the most multifarious as to species and the number of individuals. On the other hand, areas 1 and 2 are not so multifarious.
Ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) as bioindicator of natural and anthropogenic habitats
SPITZER, Lukáš
The ground beetles are one of the most worthwhile model groups of organisms for the indication of quality of environment due to their advantages such as simple identification, well known ecology of most species and described distribution. In this thesis I present the suitability of assemblages of ground beetles to evaluate the conservation value in two types of environment: (1) open forest in medium and lower altitudes, (2) post-mining biotopes as quarries and black coal dumps. I also discuss possible limitation of ground beetles as valid bioindicators and I recommend multi-taxonomical approach in ecological studies.
Impact of the adjustment of the area of former tank training area on its ecosystem services
PAČKA, Jiří
The ecological value and the value of ecosystem services of the former military area in Čtyři Dvory in České Budějovice was evaluated in this thesis. The expert method of BVM (?Biotope Valuation Method?) and the Replacement Cost method (cost of technological alternative to ecosystem function) according to Seják et al. (2003, 2010) were applied. Four ecosystem services were evaluated: climatic service (evapotranspiration), little water cycle, oxygen production, and the support of biodiversity. For comparison, the sale price of the area and the ?recreation? value calculated by the contingent valuation (CV) method were also evaluated. The estimated sale price was 837 million CZK, which was by twelve-times higher than the ecological value estimated by the BVM method. Most of the area (57 %) was formed by the biotop XK4 ? pioneer shrub vegetation of atropogenic noncultivated areas with 13 points per m2. The most valuable biotop was V2.2 ? periodic waters with 44 points per m2, which formed 1.5 % of the examined area. The estimated value of ecosystem services was 1 372 millions CZK per year. The realization of all the planned construction projects on the examined area would lead to the depression of the ecological value according to the BVM method by 19.5 millions CZK and the depression of the value of the formerly mentioned four ecosystem services by 459 millions CZK.
Communities of epigeic beetles (Coleoptera) in the different types of green belts in fields
ŠEBÍK, Jakub
SUMMARY The assemblages of epigeic beetles were studied in various types of agroecosystems in the submontaneous area of Novohradske hory (South Bohemia, Czech republic). The research took place in years 2009 and 2011. There were sown various types of crops, in the target places, on which were established either biobelts (research 2009) or permanent green belts with trees and shrubs (research 2011) in past. The aim of the study was to assess, whether or how these landscape structures influence epigeic beetles. The datas were gathered by sampling ground beetles with ground traps. The collected material was put then through identification and this was the base for assessing the parameters of landscape structures influence on epigeic beetles. These parameters were: the species diversity, the abundance and the ammount of relict species. It was collected 3099 beetles and it was managed to identify 54 species at all. The interest groups of invertebrates were ground beetles/carabids (Carabidae) and rove beetles (Staphylinidae). The results differed for both groups. The rove beetles were generally more abundant, than ground beetles and most of them were found in crops in the year 2009. The lowest numbers were caught in crops 2011. There was a quite remarkable contrast between these two results. The species diversity of rove beetles was too lower, than the ground beetles? one. The results of biodiversity seemed to be strange so as the abundance was. The diversity was the highest in the crops 2009 and the slowest in the crops 2011. Nearly the same diversity was found in biobelts, which are really different type of habitat. The carabids? abundance was not so oscillating like by the rove beetles. They were the most abundant in biobelts and the less in permanent belts. The abundance in crops in both years was nearly the same. The species diversity was highest in permanent belts and the lowest in crops in the year of 2009. The results about antropic influence on epigeic beetles assemblages, based on ecological characteristics of beetles, were eventually raised. It was established, that all the populations are strongly affected by human. The results say, that habitats like biobelt and permanent belt seem to have a positive impact on epigeic beetles assemblages, namely on relict or rare beetles survival. The results have very disparate and sometimes contradictory nature, thus cannot be sumarized.
