Editing a selected section of watercourse

This bachelor thesis deals with the modification of the section of the Baťa Canal in the town of Strážnice, namely in the range of 8,300 km to 9,520 km. The alteration is divided into two implementation phases. In the first one, all the sediments will be extracted from the bottom of the canal, which will be subsequently dewatered and plowed into the farmland. The removal of the sediments from the canal bed will be made on the original bottom level stated by the handling and operating rules for the sailing route Otrokovice – Rohatec. In the second implementation phase, adequate bank and accompanying growth will be designed, which are an integral part of stabilization adjustments. Due to historical value of the water canal, a major change in the profile of the canal bed cannot be made. Keeping this in mind, biotechnical stabilization of slopes will be carried out. The aim of the regulation is primarily to increase the capacity of the Baťa Canal for the needs of cruise. Also the planting of new trees will restores vegetation accompaniment.

Revitalizace řeky Moravy v Olomouci očima obyvatel města

This bachelor thesis treats the subject of urban river revitalisation in the context of regional planning as an instrument of sustainable development. Furthermore, it investigates citizens views on functions of a river and the already realised revitalisation of the waterway and its surroundings. The results of the survey have been interpreted inclusively as well as gender- and age-specifically. The research was based on a particular case of one section of the River Morava in Olomouc.

Studie revitalizace vybraného úseku řeky Moravy

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of water flows from the viewpoint of the return to close to natural state. Apart from a general description of the functions of the water flow performed in the landscape, and general information of the topic of revitalization, this thesis is focused on the specific situation. It is a selected section of the Morava River, flowing through protected landscape area Litovelské Pomoraví, where the river is fortified in the heel slope by stone fortifications as backfill. The aim is to describe the current state of the selected section, describe the proposed revitalization measures and assess the need of revitalization of this section of the Morava River.

Bachelor thesis deals with riparian and accompanying vegetation. It is divided into two main parts. The first part is a literature review, which was prepared using available literature. We find it essential characteristics of watercourses and main distribution Riparian vegetation. A very important part of the literature review is to summarize the basic functions stands near a watercourse. Functions are a guide to ensure sufficient quality management and also in this area. Nearby points of searches are setting up procedures and care of riparian vegetation. They are usually supported by evaluation of the current state of vegetation. The paper presents two types of evaluation and their methodology is part of the literature review. The second part contains a case study. It has been prepared on the chosen model area, which is located in the Zlin region, in Uherský Ostroh. It is the Morava River, which flows through a left tributary stream Okluky. In the practical part were mainly used knowledge of the literature review. Interest flows were divided into individual sections, which were developed for the current condition of vegetation, according to the simplified methodology from ŠLEZINGR, 2002. Based on the findings, the proposals of care. In the last part the findings are translated into the debate, which discusses the current state of flux and possible future.
