Developing creativity in Montessori preschool class

The aim of this work is to point out the possibilities of developing creativity in a preschool classroom, which works by the philosophy of Montessori pedagogy that is sometimes critisised as too strict and not offering enough space for creativity and fantasy. The theoretical part will content characterisation of creativity and pedagogy of Maria Montessori, concept of creativity as perceived by Maria Montessori, art exploitation for developing creativity and it´s assertion in Montesori classroom. Practical part is devoted to a research focused on eliciting the levels of children´s creative abilities in Montessori classrooms and those in traditional classrooms and their comparison. I am completing this work by choice of activities which evolve creativity and can be applied in Montessori classroom.
The Fantastic Modificationes of the Realism in the Czech Short Storry on the Break of the 19th And 20th Century

In this final work we compare fantastic forms of realistic literature in the little formations from the break of the 19th and 20th century. We look for specifics of fantastic in selected texts. By the analysis of mysterious and realistic motives we aim to show the common roots of fantastic literature and its diversity. In the first part we analyse the tales of Karel Švanda ze Semčic and compare the poetics of Švanda and E. T. A. Hoffmann, an important German romantic writer of fantastic proses. In the second part we analyse the texts of Jakub Arbes, Julius Zeyer, Růžena Svobodová and Jiří Karásek. Particularly, we focus on how the mysterious and realistic motives are realized in these texts. Finally, we compare all the texts and observe how do they follow the tradition of romantic fantastic and which other kindes of literature we can distinguish there. We use the method of narratological analysis, the basic literature is Narrative Fiction: Contemporary Poetics of Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan.
Fantasy - Theory of the Genre and its Educative Aspects

This diploma thesis deals with fantasy literature in both, national and international contexts, as well as with its didactical possessions. Its aim is to prove that this genre has, apart from its history and a recognized place in the domain of literature, a cognitive value to enhance the readers in terms of aesthetics, knowledge, experience and emotions. A second aim of the thesis is to describe the position of fantasy in so-called ``speculative fiction{\crq}q. The first part of the work allows its readers to understand the term ``Fantasy``. It also provides them with history of the genre and its nowadays´ subdivision. In the subsequent chapters the fantasy is presented as a genre able to adapt to fields not necessarily linked to contemporary literature, such as source of knowledge and understanding in lives of young people. A more detailed approach to the Czech form of the genre is also provided with emphasis to common and opposite aspects of it in comparison with the world fantasy (mostly Anglo-American). The didactical potential is underlined in appropriate paragraphs. The 4th and 6thchapters are then fully dedicated to the didactical potential. The last chapter presents results of research work focused on fantasy.
Selected types of imaginative techniques and their use in human self-development

The final bachelor thesis deals with the description and the possibility of application of the selected technique of imagination of self-progress. The theoretical part deals with the concept of imagination, its relationship to fantasy, the application in symbol creation and application in the process of daily dreaming. Further it focuses on therapeutic function of imaginative techniques, their history, major representatives and similar studies on this topic already done. The practical part asks the question how the application of selected techniques of imagination influences the progress of self-understanding and self-experience of the individual. By the qualitative way is with respondents observed and in the final results presented the subjective experience of imaginative exercise, the progress of the ability to imagine, the influence of imagination to experience and behavior concerning to daily live, the attitude toward oneself and towards others and subsequent insight to connections of contents of imagination and their life reality. Observed results can be the basis for contingent future research supporting the importance of imaginative seminars for college students.
Long Way from Alien Civilizations to Elvis: Genre Divergence in Czech Fantasy after 1989

In this bachelor{\crq}s work I deal with the origin and development of fantasy literature in Czech environment with paying regard to the worldwide context. In the first part I define the terms fantastika, horror, science fiction and fantasy along with the basic stereotypes that occur within fantasy literature. Next I concentrate on a brief outline of history of world fantasy as well as the history of fantasy in the context of Czech literature. In the second part I suggest definitions of individual fantasy subgenres that appeared in our country after 1989 and I deal with their origin and development in Czech literature and world literature. There is also an analysis and comparison of chosen works of contemporary Czech authors.
