Topic of this diploma thesis is Rehabilitation of landscape in Rožná. The main aim is clarification of problems, which relate to raw mineral material extraction, particularly with radioactive raw material, which is uranium. The thesis deal with possibilities of restorations of landscape, which is affects by mining. Project is creating for chosen locality according to the knowledges. This project supports recreation, biodiversity of landscape and creates harmonious and stable landscape.

Vztah iniciálních půd a pionýrských dřevin při revitalizaci lomů

This thesis focuses on the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of soil conditions and plant diversity of representative sites in southern Moravia, central and south Bohemia, which were significantly affected by surface mining and quarrying. They were selected locations on carbonate rocks (Hády, Růženin, Lesní, Turold, Houbův, Homolák and Krty), the metamorphic rocks, namely granulite (Zrcadlová huť and Plešovice) and sandy sediments (Plavsko and Rudice-Seč). Already closed quarries and those left to natural succession or reclaimation, but also those in which there is still an active mineral extraction were selected as representative for this BC thesis. Apropriate soil samples were taken for analysis of physico -chemical, mechanical and hydro-physical properties of soil as a part of the fieldwork that took place during 2012 and 2014. Phytosociological surveys have been realised in 2013 as well. This thesis also discus the appropriateness of uniform or reclamation of natural succession. Based on the data of analysis, it can be seriously demonstrated and confirmed that the soil in relation to the nature of the parental rock is mostly favorable with even well balanced water and air regime and the average waterholding. Representation of macro and micronutrients in the samples picture prediction, despite the low nutrient content in soils at these sites are relatively high. Another way from the perspective of plant diversity, all selected stations are is still in its early stages of development. The most represented trees of all fracture sites is silver birch (Betula pendula), followed by pine forest (Pinus sylvestris), aspen (Populus tremula) and goat willow (Salix caprea).

Posouzení vhodnosti použití harvestorové technologie lesní těžby na ŠLP Křtiny

This thesis is focused on assessing the suitability of using harvesting technology in conditions of Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny (TFE). The work is related to the overall characteristics of harvester technologies in terms of technical solutions, but also to establish criteria of suitable natural conditions for the most thrifty deployment. The findings obtained in this investigation are applied to the forests of the property to discover the potential using options of harvester technologies. Criteria to determine the suitability of the forest stand were: type of terrain, edaphic category, minimum representation of conifers and age of stand. For forest stands there are assigned the appropriate types of harvester chassis and harvester heads which are suitable for their cutting. In the thesis there are further processed optimal harvester nodes, a comparing of the time consumption to processing of the volume of logging by classical logging technologies and harvester technologies. Based on the findings there was elaborated a recommendation for operating practices.

Budoucnost Karviné - limity a příležitosti

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the success of the town of Karviná in its economic, environmental and social development and the design of measures leading to overcoming the limits of future development of the territory and the use of its opportunities. The evaluation and assessment of success was based on a literature search, a questionnaire survey and structured interviews. Based on the achieved results, it is possible to say that the economic and social pillar of the city is not developing very successfully. On the contrary, the environmental pillar and its state of the landscape and care for the environment are developing most successfully. Although the city is facing a slowdown in mining activities, retraining courses implemented by the city can be assessed as successful in re-enrolling former employees of OKD a.s. back to the local labor market. Current problem factors limiting the city's development are, for example, the insufficient and unattractive local labor market and business activities, the city's image and air quality. To solve these problems and to successful future development of the city may be helpful diversification of the economic structure and the program of development strategy of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as development projects Eden Silesia or New Economic Zone, appropriate media coverage of the city's strengths and creation of a strategy focusing on improving the air quality in the city.

Posouzení vhodnosti použití harvestorové technologie lesní těžby na lesním majetku Orlík nad Vltavou, s.r.o.

Objectives of this project is to consider usage of harvester technology at terms which are at forestry estate of Orlík nad Vltavou, s.r.o.. This project is about harvester technologies at large for example assortation of HT, technical specifications, limits in terrain and usability in practice. Theory will be after that confronted with practical experiences because we compare natural conditions which are at LHC with conditions which we need for deployment and using harvesting technologies. Using criteria for deployment of HT at underbrush is agency of conifers and wooden reserve in particular age stages and management set of stand where these conifers are. After that we compare costs for HT and for classic technology of logging. Prices are only orientation.

There were used qualitative and quantitative methods for the research. The main methods were comparative analysis, correlation and regression analysis to determine whether increasing value of GDP from mining has positive impact on development of Ghana. The outcome of this work is a recommendation on how to exploit the potential of mineral wealth and to use it for the better development of Ghana.

Optimalizace návrhu těžeb vedoucí k těžební vyrovnanosti lesního majetku

The aim of the thesis was to optimize the total cut of the private property of B. F. P., Lesy a statky Tomáše Bati, spol. s. r. o. leading to harvest balance within a period of next 30 years. Two different harvest models as well as the model of shortening the rotation period of spruce were included in the calculations for the expectant total cuts. All these three models were compared, with the optimal result of not carrying out the whole total cut according to the legal options. If the total allowable cuts, which arise from the current age composition of the property, were fully used, the significant decrease in harvest would follow and keep on decreasing as early as the second decade. Shortening the rotation period of spruce would make the situation even worse.

This bachelor thesis deal with ecosystem services of reclaimed land after mining. The first part of the thesis summarizes the basic facts of the functioning of ecosystems and ecosystem services. Additionally, reclamation and current expert literature on ecosystem services of reclaimed landscapes are defined. Bachelor thesis focuses on ecosystem services of reclaimed territory affected by mining in Darkov area in the Moravian-Silesian Region. In the practical part, ecosystem services are evaluated using a method reflecting their monetary value and a descriptive method.
