The future of waste management in the Czech Republic
Vlašic, Jakub ; Köbölová, Klaudia (referee) ; Sitek, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented work deals with changes in waste management in the Czech Republic. This area is an important part of the economy of every country and, especially in today's times, it requires great attention. The work summarizes the current situation of waste management in the Czech Republic and suggests some possible changes in this field. One of these changes is the construction of new facilities for energy recovery from waste. Other changes will likely affect the composition of the waste, which could impact these facilities. The impact is expressed in the work using the waste produced by a family of four over one month, with its quantity and composition determined. This composition was subjected to analysis, which determined its properties important for combustion and energy use. The results of the analysis were applied to the forecasted changes, and the impact on the facilities for energy recovery from waste was assessed. Finally, these forecasts were evaluated based on their overall benefit.
