Usage of automated regression tests in continuous integration of web application
Kolpakova, Alexandra ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the implementation of automated regression tests into the practice of continuous integration in the development of a web application. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to design and implement a system of continuous integration including testing for the purpose of deploying a web application on the test environment. Specific objective is to characterise the concept of continuous integration, exploration of principles and practices of continuous integration, characteristics of regression tests and the process of automation of test cases, design of system for use of continuous integration and consequently its practical verification. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the introduction to the practice of continuous integration, its characteristics and principles. The following section describes the testing process, especially different levels and types of tests. The practical part introduces a proposed system for the use of continuous integration in software development. It continues with analysis and design of test cases processed according to the functionality of the web application. The implementation of the proposed system is followed by the implementation of automated tests. The output of the thesis is the elaborated scheme for automated deployment of the web application on the test environment in the practice of continuous integration and a usable resource containing the procedure for implementing regression tests into the process of continuous integration.
Design of user interface and implementation of application for test execution in TestLink
Skalický, Tomáš ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to design a user interface and to implement an application that is used for test execution in test management tool TestLink. This application is designed to streamline and simplify the process of test execution in this tool. The theoretical part of the thesis describes features and the interface of TestLink and compares it with other similar tools. The practical part is focused on analysis, user interface design, and implementation of the application. The outcome of this thesis is in addition to the application itself also a library written in PHP, which is used for communication with the application programming interface of TestLink and which simplifies the creation of similar applications.
Web application testing using Robot Framework tool
Kulalov, Renat ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
Abstract This bachelors thesis deals with automated testing of web applications. The goal of this thesis is to introduce Robot Framework, which is a tool for test case automation. Theory section introduces and describes test automation in general and what benefits it brings to software testing. It also introduces a few chosen tools for automated software testing. Practical part deals with installation and configuration of Robot Framework, writing automated test cases and integration of Robot Framework with BrowserStack. After reading the thesis a potential user will be able to write automated test cases in Robot Framework and run them on BrowserStack. The contribution of this thesis is the emergence of guide in Czech language, which is useful teaching software testing at the University of Economics in Prague.
Software testing workflow optimization with Testlink
Heřman, Marek ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the process of analysis and design in software testing, principles of using the test management tool TestLink and further in the practical part extend the possibilities of data import into this tool with the help of a newly created application. The theoretical part focuses on the use of test management systems in the area of analysis and design in software testing and the description of functionality and supported areas, including the current shortcomings of selected systems. The practical part is solved in collaboration with Tesena, s.r.o., a software testing company. The outcome of the thesis is an application enabling the import of test requirements, test cases with steps and test results from commonly used formats into the TestLink tool. The application focuses on the area of preparation of test cases and enables acceleration of the work process during test analysis and design; i.e. a problem which the company experiences when managing a large amount of tests, as the standard import is partially non-functional and relatively complex.
System integration testing by SoapUI
Petržilka, Jakub ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on software testing, especially on System integration testing phase and automatization of this process. The main objective of this thesis is to create case study, in which the open source system SugarCRM is fully tested via testing tool SoapUI. Testing process in case study is executed according to methodology, which is focused mainly on testing of web services by SoapUI testing tool. Theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to explanation of testing process, test automation and terms, which are commonly used in testing. Next part is devoted to integration of infor-mation systems. Practical part is dedicated to creation of the case study. In this part, the SoapUI testing tool and system SugarCRM, are described. In the case study, all testing activities are presented.
