Process optimization in company providing IT services using ITIL

This work deals with analyzing and optimizing processes in an IT company, based on the ITIL recommendations. Specifically, it focuses on the benefits of ITIL to the company and described the relationship between ITIL recommendations and a real environment. In introduction are defined the standards and other approaches that can be used to similar analysis. The work describes the differences of these methodologies and reasons why ITIL recommendations was selected to analyze the IT company. The main part deals with the procedural model of the analyzed company and describes selected processes according to ITIL structure. Then it describes the recommended changes to individual processes, respectively overall change process model and also how these changes manifest themselves in other dimensions such as organizational structure or management structure of the hierarchy of the company. Conclusions include both assessment of expected impacts of recommended procedural changes and their risks, as well as assessment, benefits advice ITIL process model for the analysis of the company. The work is based on knowledge that were continuously collected during the study. Furthermore, based on experience gained outside school, especially from the practical experience gained in work for the entire study period in the analyzed company.
