Advanced methods for monitoring li-ion batteries
Vašíček, Jakub ; Čech, Ondřej (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on advanced algorithms for monitoring the state of lithium-ion cells. The introductory section describes the construction and main parameters of these cells. It is followed by an analysis of conventional methods for determining the State of Charge (SoC) and an overview of their main drawbacks. Subsequently, the most frequently used surrogate models for these cells and the methods for their determination are presented. The following section briefly outlines the techniques for monitoring the State of Health (SoH) of cells. After the theoretical part, there is a chapter dedicated to the measurement of a selected cell using the described methods. This includes both laboratory measurements and practical experiments conducted in a real photovoltaic system. Based on the findings and obtained data, an algorithm allowing determination of the surrogate model of the cell during operation was developed. Furthermore, new hardware components for the BMS, which was designed in the previous bachelor's thesis, are proposed. The aim is to eliminate previous shortcomings, enable the implementation of new algorithms, and integrate the device into the IoT platform. New parts of the firmware are also described, and the entire device is tested. In the concluding part, the results of the implemented changes are evaluated.
Modern trends in logistics of shipments
VAŠÍČEK, Jakub
Progress is unstoppable and naturally also affects the field of logistics. One of the current trends is online shopping, which is closely linked to the delivery of goods to consumers. This bachelor's thesis defines modern trends in the logistics of unit shipments, primarily in terms of e-commerce on the domestic and foreign markets. The work uses a questionnaire survey both for target consumers and for operators of online stores. It also includes a controlled interview with the operator of the parcelshop. Thanks to the understanding of the issue of parcel delivery and obtaining data and information using the above-mentioned methods, at the end of the work it was possible to propose a solution for logistics practice that would help eliminate the shortcomings of current trends in the delivery of parcels.
Elements of experimental equipment for research energy recovery of vehicles
Vašíček, Jakub ; Jurík, Miroslav (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on selection of hydraulic components for experimental device – stand for research on hydrostatic recovery of kinetic energy of heavy vehicles for civil engineering, public transportation or utility. Main supplier of hydraulic components is – Bosch Rexroth. Thesis primary pays attention to selection and comparation of hydraulic components, it does not deal witch construction or mathematical model. Part of this thesis is concerned with future development in the field of hydrostatic recovery of energy. Main purpose of experimental stand is simulation of operational conditions of heavy vehicles, to gather information about efectivity of energy recovery and to help in making suggestions in construct solution for chosen conditions. Concrete output is analysis of suitability and construct solution for road roller AMMANN AP 240 H.
Intelligent BMS for lithium batteries
Vašíček, Jakub ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design of electronic system called BMS, which is necessary for lithium batteries safety operation. The first part contains a brief description of lithium battery design. The following is an overview of the main parameters of this type of batteries. The next part describing various methods of state of charge (SoC) estimation and the ways to ensure uniform charge of each cell. Based on the theoretic analysis, the block diagrams for individual parts of BMS were designed. The following describing device assembly and design of control algorithm. The last part is devoted to measurement of achieved attributes. In conclusion, results of the work are discussed and possibilities of future improvements are suggested.
Design of heating water heat exchanger, capacity 200 MW
Vašíček, Jakub ; Kól, Přemysl (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design proposal of thermal heaters for heating water in heat-exchanger station with a total output of 200 MW. The aim of the work is conceptual design of heat exchangers, thermal and hydraulic design of individual heaters and preview of flow of mass and energy. The outputs of the work are written calculations, design drawing of one heater and design of a heater arrangement in exchanger station. The objectives of the work are filled completely. The work is focused on issues directly related to the actual design of heat exchangers, does not give a general overview of the topic. Thermal calculation is limited to the calculation of heat transfer surfaces for condensation of steam and condensate hypothermia.
