Nanotechnology utilization in nuclear industry and research
Skalička, Jiří ; Štefánik, Milan (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis introduces reader to current knowledge of nanomaterials and their usage. It summarises production methods and usage of different materials in nuclear power plants, nuclear research and nuclear medicine. Theoretical part of this thesis is dedicated to possible usage of carbon nanotubes for neutron beam collimation and guides. In experimental part different materials were tested in measuring box connected to horizontal radial channel of VR-1 nuclear reactor and their influence on neutron flux was measured. Tested samples were non-oriented carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, alumina nanowires, oriented carbon nanotubes with several angles of rotation and these samples were compared with results of graphite.
Using WXT520 meter station for measuring the wind energy
Skalička, Jiří ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis introduces the basics of wind energy. It explains the formation of wind, various types of wind engines, different types of wind power plants (divided by installed capacity), basic methods for wind array determination and wind potential in Czech Republic. Then it turns to Vaisala Weather Transmitter WXT520, which is ideal for measurements in wind energy industries. It explains the transmitter’s basic functions, connection and communication options. Practical part of this thesis is dedicated to realization of measurement using National Instruments CompactRIO platform and LabView development environment. Output of this thesis is a program for long term measurements of meteorological data, analysis and archiving of this data.

Effect of speed mobile power resources on the sound level
SKALIČKA, Jiří
The thesis is focused on evaluating of noise pollution environment of mobile energy devices of various classes with respect to the speed of mobile the energy resource. The first part oft eoretical research focuses on the physical properties of noise and effect on people. The second part describes the reasons for noise, its intensity at the mobile energy resources with its average values. In the practical part are performed measurement of noise emissions with the surrounding environment. There is suggested measures to reduce the noise level, ventually there is recommended optimal operating speed movement of vehicles.
Analysis of the mass concentration of airborne dust in the road transport depending on traffic environment.
SKALIČKA, Jiří
The goal of my thesis is to measure the mass concentration of airborne dust in the road traffic, in relation to the nature of the traffic environment and transport routes. The paper provides an overview of the measured values from the individual measuring points, which differed in the intensity of traffic and the size of dust sources. Objective information are obtained with the measurements, about the actual impact of air pollution by emissions from non-combustion processes, on the movement of vehicles in road traffic.
