77 Summary Legal Regulation of Disability Pensions in the Czech Republic and its Development The diploma paper is focused on addressing the area of legal regulation concerning disability and disability pensions with suggestions of possible amendments in the current legal regulation in the Czech Republic. The paper is divided into seven chapters. Chapter one addresses history of the legal regulation of disability pensions including the assessment of health conditions and disability in order to be eligible for a disability pension. From the general outline of the development of the provision of those individuals who are not able, due to their long-term disablement, to work, it proceeds to detailed addressing of the development of legal regulation of disability pensions as of the formation of Czechoslovakia until its split as of 1 January 1993. Chapter two describes the international legal regulation related to disability pensions.
