Working with socially disadvantaged children in nursery school
PUDILOVÁ, Dana
This bachelor thesis aimed to discover how socially disadvantaged children are integrated within the nursery school environment from the teacher's point of view. One of the goals was to examine and describe what role a social educator can play in this context. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part is then divided into three chapters, which are composed of subchapters. The qualitative research approach, a method of questioning and interview techniques were used in the practical part of the thesis. The researched sample consisted of pedagogical workers from nursery schools. Acquired data were coded and categorized to answer the researched questions. The outcomes could serve as initial material for subsequent research in the field of integrating the socially disadvantaged children into the nursery school environment. Also, the data can serve as a guide for the general public to understand how the integration of socially disadvantaged children works and what supportive measures can be done to help them.

PUDILOVÁ, Dana
The Bachelor's thesis is focused on the comparison of family social political tools in the meaning of social benefits and services in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. It is a theoretical paper in which all the analysed data, concerning social benefits and services for families with children, is included. Individual chapters talk about different topics related to family politics. Family is the foundation of society as well as an aspect of different measures for the purpose of support from the state's side. This is the reason why the first chapter is focused on family and its characteristics. The importance of family for individuals as well as for the whole society is proven by its protection on international levels. Supporting healthy and functioning families as well as starting new families are the main goals of family policy. The second chapter is dedicated to the definition and development of family policy. The main part of the Bachelor's thesis focuses on the comparison of social benefits and services in the Czech and Slovak Republic. We mainly talk about subsistence and existential minimum benefits, help benefits in time of material need, state social benefits in the Czech Republic, state social benefits for families with children in the Slovak Republic and sickness insurance benefits. The help and support to physical individuals in unfavourable living situations, besides financial support, is also provided by social services. The last chapter is dedicated to tax support provided to families with children, whose main goal is to increase take-home pay of the families from profit-making activities leading to decrease in the number of applicants for social benefits provided by state as well as the motivation to become included in the job market. The Bachelor's thesis can become an initial source for future analysis in the field of family policy in the Czech and Slovak Republic. It can also serve to better understand the present system of social benefits and services.
