Možnosti využití krmných aditiv v prevenci a péči o zdraví telat
POLÍVKOVÁ, Denisa
The aim of the work is to evaluate the influence of feed additives on the frequency of diarrheal diseases in the first stages of the dairy period, the influence of weight gain and the assessment of selected hematological and biochemical parameters in the blood of calves.
Využití probiotických krmných aditiv ve výživě telat
POLÍVKOVÁ, Denisa
The aim of this study was a brief elaboration of a literature review containing the morphology of the digestive system of calves, the issue of methods of their breeding and feeding, probiotics, prebiotics and phytobotics. The following study aims to confirm the positive effect of probiotic feed additives containing the probiotic strain Lactobacillus Sporogenes on calves. A total of 80 calves were included in the project, divided in half into two groups, control and experimental. Both groups were weighed three times, within two hours after birth and then according to the individuality of the individuals at shifts of an average of 56 and 100 days of age. During breeding, in addition to weight, the general state of health, the frequency of diarrheal diseases. From the evaluation of the collected data, it can be stated that the feeding of probiotic additives containing the Lactobacillus Sporogenes strain has a significant effect not only on the health status but also on the weight gain of calves.
Intraaortic balloon counterpulsation (research)
Polívková, Denisa ; Rokyta, Richard (advisor) ; Goričan, Karel (referee)
Intraaortic balloon counterpulsation (IABP) is nowadays a standard invasive method of mechanical support of failing heart. The main indications of IABP are severe forms of acute heart failure and cardiogenic shock, e.g. associated with myocardial infarction. The aim of our study was to evaluate IABP-usage in Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU), characteristics and clinical outcome of IABP- treated patients. Between January 3rd, 2005 and July 5th, 2008 we treated 56 patients with IABP. Main indication for intaaortic balloon pumping was myocardial infarction (both STEMI and non-STEMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock. In time of IABP initiation 91 % of patients needed catecholamine support. All patients underwent coronary angiography. 75 % of patients were mechanically ventilated, 30,4 % were monitored by Swan-Ganz pulmonary catheter. Complications were observed in 10 patients. The mean duration of IABP was 46 hours. ICCU mortality was 30,4 %, in-hospital mortality rate was 42,9 %. In our institution, IABP has become a part of the complex treatment in patients with severe forms of cardiogenic shock complicating myocardial infarction. In-hospital mortality in our group is comparable with literature data.
