Cutlery steels and their composition and properties
Lenghardová, Monika ; Kaňa, Václav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
This paper is focused on the description of steels suitable for blades production in terms of their chemical composition, structure, properties and thermal processing. The practical part is focused on the assessment of particular selected tool steels manufactured by conventional procedures - AK5, N690 and RWL34 steel manufactured by powder metallurgy. There were carried out the two methods of thermal processing with all three selected steels and the subsequent assessment was performed on the basis of the results of mechanical properties testing - three-point bend and hardness according to Rockwell, including the metallographic assessment of material structure.
