The aim of the thesis is to describe the adaptation of children with a different mother tongue to preschool education. Under the term children with OMJ, children from Ukraine who began to enter the Czech education system during the year 2022 due to the war conflict are specifically chosen for the diploma thesis. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters, which contain the theoretical basis for the subject matter and are significantly connected with the practical part of the diploma thesis. The content is a definition of the basic concepts of the issue of children with a different mother tongue and characterization of typical developmental aspects in preschool education. Among other things, the theoretical part includes possibilities for support during education and methods of communication, which are suitable to use during language adaptation and development. The practical part deals with qualitative research on the issues defined above. The first part of the qualitative research involves semi-structured interviews with teachers of selected kindergartens in České Budějovice. The second part of the research is participant observation, which took place in one of the private kindergartens also in České Budějovice. The benefit of the thesis can be inspirational for kindergarten teachers who participate in the education of children with a different mother tongue, specifically children from Ukraine. The conclusion of the diploma thesis summarizes the issue of children with a different mother tongue and their adaptation in preschool.

LYKEŠOVÁ, Erika
The bachelor thesis Quality of life of people with hearing impairment from the perspective of pupils of secondary health schools deals with the issue of quality of life of people with hearing impairment and also with the view of pupils of secondary health schools on this topic. For explaining we can mention that the quality of life is given to a certain extent by the levels of physical and mental activity as well as work performance, or the level of physical, mental and social comfort. Mainly, it is the level of personal satisfaction and enjoyment of life despite its troubles and difficulties. The goal of bachelor's thesis was to find out, on the basis of a quantitative survey, what opinion on the quality of life of people with hearing impairment has pupils of secondary health schools. The thesis is divided into two main parts, which are theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on special pedagogy, especially on the field of surdopaedia. The next part contains the theoretical definition of quality of life and in the last part of the theoretical part the care for people with hearing impairment is mentioned. The practical part is based on the results of quantitative research carried out at secondary medical schools in České Budějovice, Havlíčkův Brod, Jihlava, and Jindřichův Hradec. Thanks to the questionnaire survey, it was possible to answer the three selected hypotheses by using a good match test. The method enabled to evaluate the provability of hypotheses and in this evaluation, two hypotheses were proven and one was rejected. The thesis does not provide all the comprehensive information on this issue, as this topic is very extensive and due to the extent of the bachelor thesis it was not possible to devote itself to it in more detail. However, we can help to raise awareness and inspire deeper study of the issue.
