The first part deals with the terms ?folklore? and ?folklorism? which are closely related to the history of the ensemble. The next chapter follows the structure of the group's organisation according to the historical development. Czech dance in the sixties of the twentieth century
Krejčiříková, Alžběta ; Gremlicová, Dorota (advisor) ; Kazárová, Helena (referee)
My thesis maps out an overview of the sixties of the twentieth century within the field of dance in the Czech Republic. The purpose of this thesis is to form a chronological analysis of premiers and their creators (appendix A), of theatre abiding companies and the Prague Ballet. Further on I discuss individual dance companies, both theatre abiding and functioning under other institutions , by which I curb the discussion closer to the time period pertinent to the subject at hand. In all, this thesis points out the importance of the sixties in the history of Czech dance and their significance in the evolution of dance in the Czech Republic during the second half of the twentieth century.
