Taxes in International Road Transport of Goods
Jiříčková, Kristýna ; Svirák, Pavel (referee) ; Brychta, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of taxes in international road transport of goods. The thesis explains the basic concepts and selected taxes that are relevant from the point of view of the international transport of goods. The first part of the thesis defines the essential theoretical basis. The analytical part deals with selected legal legislation of tax aspects related to the international road transport of goods. In the part of the proposals, on the basis of the acquired knowledge, a methodical guideline for companies engaged in the international road transport of goods is compiled. The proposed methodical guideline is subsequently applied to the chosen company.
Modelling of solid waste treatment with GIS
Jiřičková, Kateřina ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Balner, Petr (referee)
Under the current waste legislation in both European Union and Czech Republic, material recovery is preferred over other types of municipal solid waste treatment. However, waste collection systems have negative environmental impacts. This thesis deals with modeling and optimization of waste collection routes, which should lower their impact. The model makes use of the ArcGIS software system and operations research to optimize routes. Inputs of the model are the amount of waste produced in the region, locations of the final facilities, and their capacities. The amount of waste produced per district was estimated to be the portion of total waste produced corresponding to the number of inhabitants of given district. Final facilities are the assorting lines. Distances between districts and final facilities were computed by Network Analyst Extension of ArcGIS. The index method assigns the assorting lines to districts in a way that minimizes total distance traveled by waste collection vehicles, while respecting the capacity of the assorting lines. Outputs are waste collection routes and the distance, per waste type, traveled by the waste collection vehicles. The model allows changing the input data to observe changes in the waste collection system. The model was applied to the data from the capital of...
The use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in patients with central paresis of the upper limb
Jiříčková, Kristýna ; Muchová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: The use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb Abstract: Theme of my bachelor thesis is the use of feedback using the system Armeo®Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. With progress of modern technology is one of the possibilities robotic-assisted therapy. The aim of this thesis is to verify or disprove the efficiency of use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in rehabilitation of upper extremities, which were effected by stroke. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is recherche about knowlege of the efficiency of system Armeo®Spring. The next area outlins robotics and virtual reality in rehabilitation, which is quickly developing. The base for my theoretical part was mostly foreign studies and articals. Subsequently, it was my attempt to approach this method not only in terms of theory, but mainly practices in favor of Czech patients. Based on gain information and my experience I can affirm that the therapy using the system Armeo®Spring has positive influence for motoric function of upper extremities and is effective in rehabilitation in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. Key words: stroke, upper limb paresis, neurorehabilitation, robotic-assisted...

Electrochemistry as a Tool for an Enzyme Characterization
Gál, M. ; Krahulec, J. ; Jiríčková, K. ; Sokolová, Romana ; Híveš, J.
Basic biochemical properties such as Michaelis constant (KM) and turnover number (kcat) of enzyme enteropeptidase was measured by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Both values determined by impedance measurements are in good agreement with those obtained by traditional spectroscopic techniques. Therefore one can suppose that electrochemical methods might be successful for such measurements also in the case where usual ones (UV-Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy) are not able to determine these enzyme characteristics.
Selected legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions and their use in practice
Jiříčková, Karolina ; Kříž, Radim (advisor) ; Knotek, Václav (referee)
Mergers and acquisitions belong to the most used terms in today's economic environment. The reason why is obvious. The optimal allocation of company resources is becoming more and more important and the merger is currently one of the instruments which can support the advantages of synergic effect and can help the companies to be more competitive at the global market. Mergers are proceeding both at domestic and international level and hence it is important to have a clear law in this area. Membership in European Union determines a legal treatment of mergers in the Czech Republic which means that the relevant European regulations need to be implemented into the Czech legal code. This diploma thesis objective is to partially introduce the merger issue in the Czech law and to use the real examples to show some selected implications of the merge processes. Just the real examples illustrate how difficult the merge processes are and how many necessary steps need to be accomplished to successfully merge two or more companies and enter the merger into Czech Trade Register.
