Survey of electrobuses and hydrogen buses in the Czech republic and abroad (2000-2022)

The report summarizes parameters of electrobuses and hydrogen buses in the Czech republic, in the EU and to same extent also in other countries. In includes both historical, already finished projects and current or planned projects in the near future. The report describes and compares available parameters of these hydrogen buses, focusing on the mass-transit city buses. The report also includes preliminary results of simulations of hydrogen bus consumption. These were simulated in the model being developed in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
Commissioning of a laboratory model of modular converter in full Delta connection

A laboratory model of MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) was created and put into operation. The converter consists of series-connected FHB (Full H-bridge) cells and other necessary devices (for measurement, synchronization and pre-charging). The MMC was tested in topology of full Delta connection with 5 cells in each of 3 branches. The MMC was loaded for symmetrization of 1-phase 3.4kW resistive load (i.e. the branch current approached 5Amp rms). The power cells were completed with Slave units EPX and then controlled using TwinCat development system and EtherCat industrial data network. With the converter, control algorithms for symmetrization and compensation of 1-phase load for 3-phase power grid were tested.

The report contains description of Pulsed Power Source Unit (PPSU) and Spark Control Unit (SPCU), which are utilized in combination with Spark Discharge Chamber and pair of electrodes for aerosol synthesis of nanomaterials. The report includes electronic schematics, list of components, description of connectors and way to chain-link and operate more sets of units. The report also includes information about discharge reference parameters and description of communication protocol and its variables.
Physical Model of FB-MMC Converter. Device Design.

The design of the experimental model of FB-MMC converter (Full H-bridge Cell, Modular Multilevel Converter) and its realization have been described in detail. The converter consists of series-connected FHB cells and several necessary units, such as a voltages and currents measuring unit, a power grid synchronization unit and a cell capacitors pre-charging unit. Functionality of FHB cells in a one-leg ten-cell connection and in a two-leg five-cell connection have been verified. Advanced control algorithms for single-phase load symmetrization are thought to be tested on this model.
