Analysis of labor market during the Great Depression in Czechoslovakia“
Janout, Daniel ; Procházka, Pavel (advisor) ; Titze, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor's dissertation is to find an answer for a question whether the chosen policy was adequate and if it helped to at least partly eliminate unemployment and social issues. This hypothesis proved to be wrong since most of the plans the state came up with to restart the economy and to deal with low employment failed. In other cases the results even contradicted. Those facts were concluded from comparison of selected economic indicators, which were demonstrated in various graphs. The sources for that were mainly statistic yearbooks and contemporary literature. The work itself aims to define the practical economic policy, backed by comparison of selected indicators and evaluates the suitability of offered proposals. Furthermore, part of the analysis also focuses on how the state dealt with Great Depression and global financial crisis and effectiveness of those methods. Lastly it mentions opinions of chosen economists on the theory of crisis.
