Effect of pollutants and concrete quality on durability and service life of reinforced concrete structures
Mazán, Tomáš ; Láník, Jaromír (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
The thesis describes the effects of an aggressive environment on structures in infrastructure that are exposed to adverse influences. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the classification of different aggressive environments and the chemistry by which they cause degradation of concrete and structures. A substantial part is devoted to the interaction of degradation mechanisms, i.e. the synergistic effect. The practical part describes the experimental procedure, the test methods used and the experiment by which the thesis verifies the theoretical ideas. Based on the theoretical background, the thesis develops a model that simulates the effect of the environment. The execution of the experiment consists in simulating aggressive environments and detecting their influence on the investigated properties. After obtaining the results from the tests in the practical part, the risks that may reduce the durability of the structure are subsequently evaluated with respect to the different phases of the life cycle of the structure. Furthermore, the risks that have a significant impact on durability are evaluated and once arranged, measures are proposed. Finally, the thesis discusses the achieved results of the whole experiment and evaluates how to achieve the reduction of the adverse effects in the different phases of the life cycle of the structure.
Risk management in the organisation
Novosadová, Petra ; Cibulková, Magda (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
The topic of the thesis focuses on the issue of risk management in a specific company. It is a smaller company specializing in the production and sale of coffee products in Brno. The thesis deals with the analysis of risks in this company. The first part of the thesis discusses the basic concepts of risk management, while the second part is dedicated to the practical implementation of selected analyses aimed at providing the reader with a comprehensive view of the current situation of the company, both internally and externally. In the final part of the thesis, measures are proposed for reducing or eliminating risks in the selected company.
Risk and Sustainability Assessment in the Textile Industry
Popek, Marcel ; Hrabová, Kristýna (referee) ; Balgová, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis examines the impact and risks of ecolabelling on consumer preferences through a combination of questionnaire survey and eye tracking. The questionnaire survey provided quantitative data on consumers' attitudes and behaviours in shopping process, while eyetracking captured precise visual browsing behaviour of participants on selected products. Analysis of the combined data from both methods provides a deeper understanding of how consumers interpret ecolabelling and how it influences their purchasing decisions. The thesis concludes with suggestions for implementing the new technology as well as suggestions for educational materials to improve the current situation.
Analysis of Health and Environmental Risks in Teplárny Brno a.s.
Mercová, Denisa ; Hrabová, Kristýna (referee) ; Balgová, Zuzana (advisor)
The diploma thesis is devoted to risk analysis in Teplárny Brno, which use dangerous chemical substances in their activities. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to related concepts and legal measures for evaluating possible risks in connection with dangerous substances. The practical part introduces the selected company and, using the analyses, evaluates the acceptability of the identified risks and subsequent suggested measures to reduce the probability of the occurrence of the identified risks.
Prevention and risk management of OSH risks
Štěpánková, Barbora ; Balgová, Zuzana (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
This diploma thesis primary focus is on the analysis and management of workplace safety and health hazards. Current situation is examined through the perspective od Czech and EU legislation. The standards augmenting legal obligations provide a structured framework for the implementation and maintenance of an effective OHS management system. This research employs particular techniques since it is vital to identify and assess workplace risks and hazards in relation to OHS. The practical section of the thesis puts these methods to use by identifying a variety of work-related hazards using a methodical approach for risk identification and evaluation. For the most critical hazards, measures are proposed to either eliminate or mitigate them.
Risk analysis and Risk Management for Sport Organization
Pospíšil, Pavel ; Cibulková, Magda (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with risk management associated with university hockey team VUT Cavaliers Brno. Firstly, in the theoretical part of the thesis, there are described the basic concepts related to risk management. Secondly, in the practical part of the thesis, there are provided analyses of possible risks for the internal and external aspects of the hockey team. Their aim is to provide a comprehensive overview. Finally, there are analysed possible risks, asses their magnitude, and propose measures that mitigate the risk.
Diagnostics of reinforced concrete construction
Slezáková, Karolína ; Hrabová, Kristýna (referee) ; Láník, Jaromír (advisor)
In the introduction of this bachelor thesis, reinforced concrete is examined, and its basic properties are described in detail. The subsequent sections focus on the methods used for diagnosing building structures. Special attention is given to the selected methods that will be applied in the practical part of this thesis. The aim of the practical part was to increase awareness of the type of material used in the examined load-bearing elements and to familiarize oneself with one of the fundamental non-destructive methods in construction.
Analysis, assessment and management of risks of manufacturing process
Ďurovcová, Júlia ; Balgová, Zuzana (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
This thesis focuses on risk management in the production process of Frentech Aerospace, s.r.o. At the beginning the thesis covers the theoretical background of risk management, quality management and safety. This knowledge has been expanded with quality and safety requirements based on international standards. For a proper measurement of the identified hazards, a perfect understanding of the evaluated system is necessary. For this reason, the method of process flow diagrams was used to provide a visual representation of the company's production process, together with a description of the individual production operations. The FTA method was selected to identify the causes of the failure conditions, which provided the basis for the final failure mode and consequence analysis. Due to the systematic approach of risk identification and assessment, the most serious process risks were selected. These are provided in the thesis with recommended preventive suggestions that lead to the minimization of the identified risks.
Risk Assessment of Textile Waste Management
Šindlerová, Vanesa ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
This thesis deals with environmental risks arising from textile waste management. The introduction describes the context of textile problematics and maps the current situation of textile waste management. The main goal of this thesis is to determinate the environmental risks of low percentage of recycling. Recycling is one way of dealing with textile that mitigates the impact on the environment. For the evaluation of the causes and consequences of the researched problem are used Bow-tie analysis and Ishikawa’s diagram. The results of the work bring environmental risks resulting from the application of those selected methods. Part of the thesis is a questionnaire that evaluates the individual’s attitude to textiles. Results of the questionnaire reveals that not needed textiles are perceived as risk to the environment. At the same time, consumer behavior does not correspond with efforts to mitigate the identified impacts.
Proactive Risk Analysis in Business Practice - Methods and Procedures
Dočkalová, Pavla ; Hrabová, Kristýna (referee) ; Kruliš, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with proactive risk analysis in company X, which manufactures mainly meat products. The thesis is divided into 2 parts. The first part concentrates on theoretical knowledge including a list of methods suitable for risk analysis. This part also includes the introduction of the company, description of processes into the company, and actual risk management. The second part includes risk analysis with the IPR method and FMEA method. Based on the results of the applied methods, measures to minimize the identified risks are proposed at the end of the work.
