Význam welfare pro konzumenty vajec v ČR

This diploma thesis deals with the importance of welfare for the inhabitants of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the very concept of welfare, its development and definition. Subsequently, the work discusses the various technologies in breeding for the production of table eggs in accordance with Directive 1997/74 / EC, which sets minimum requirements for the protection of laying hens. Furthermore, the work deals with the influence of the stable microclimate on the level of welfare and solves the most common problems in laying hens associated with welfare. The practical part of this work examines mainly the views and attitudes of the citizens of the Czech Republic to welfare in animal husbandry. This was done through a questionnaire survey. The results of this survey are then compared with research that has dealt with similar issues in previous years.

This bachelor thesis is about the issue of welfare and protection of animals against cruelty. The first part defines concepts such as welfare and animal abuse, and sums up milestones in the history of animal protection from antiquity to modern times. In addition, three areas, namely the USA, the EU and China, are compared from the point of view of access to animals and welfare conditions. The second part is dedicated to the protection of animals against cruelty in the Czech Republic and the work of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic is evaluated from the beginning of its activity until 2016. And the last chapter describes the minimum standards for animal housing and transport and also authorized methods of fixation and slaughter.
