Bedeová, Timea ; Tofel, Pavel (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of a sensing system concept for long-term monitoring of implant load. A review of current possibilities for using sensory elements and creating digital twins of patients was conducted. Based on the analysis, the final system was selected. This system utilizes piezoelectric metamaterials and can be used for energy harvesting from natural movement, minimizing the need for external power supply and increasing the system's lifespan and comfort. Experimental verification of the system confirmed its ability to monitor the load progression on the implant, with the load magnitude easily determined from the measured data. The thesis also describes potential applications for future developments of this technology.
