The sin in the czech baroque texts
ŠULISTA, František
This bachelor work focuses on the concept of sin in the Baroque period on the basis of literary sources. It takes into account the historical context from the previous Renaissance to the coming Enlightenment. It asks questions about the perception and assessment of the theological norm.It is based on published sources, especially Baroque prose and poetry, homiletic texts, shopkeeper´s songs, but also material sources. The main subject of research consists in the interpretation of the sin apperaring in the sources which reflect the contemporary world of thought, The conclusion reveals how seriously sin was taken in the Baroque (pious) times by people and to what extent the paradigm of sin was influenced by nascent civil society.
