Evaluation of developmental dyspraxia and effects of its therapy in children

Diploma thesis "Evaluation of developmental dyspraxia and effects of its therapy in children" summarizes the knowledge of developmental dyspraxia or developmental coordination disorder (DCD) in the theoretical part. The practical part deals with the usage of new diagnostic method for identification of motor difficulties in children, Movement Assessment Battery for Children, second edition. The presence of motor difficulties in some children with ADHD and some children with neurofibromatosis type 1 was confirmed. The significant difference between motor skills in gymnasts and in children attending to all-round sport activities was not detected. No significant correlation between BMI and the level of motor skills in children was found. The evaluation of the effect of therapy confirmed that intervention is useful for children with developmental dyspraxia. The best improvement was found in activities which were specifically trained. The effect of botulotoxine on muscle spasticity

The thesis objective was to validate theoretical knowledge on botulinum toxin effects on spastic muscles in practice. Botulinum toxin effects were evaluated in a group of 34 paediatric patients who attended the outpatient Department of Paediatric Neurology of the Motol University Hospital for this purpose. The patient study always took one month, recording muscular tonicity before and after botulinum toxin application. Using the motomed in rehabilitation of paediatric neurology patients

MOTOmed is a medical and rehabilitation machine that cover both passive and active exercise for lower- eventually upper-limb. Regular exercise using this machine can be an effecive complement in the general and individual motion physical therapy for broad range of patients. This machine can be used in amlost all branches of medicine. The rehabilitation using MOTOmed can help treat the children with serious neurological disability - either recumbent children or children with mixed disability. The angle of femoral anteversion in relation to postural functions. Objectivization by means of ultrasonography

The intact development of postural functions is the condition for the posture. The muscles are automatically integrated into the posture by maturing of the central nervous system. Together with the postural function of the phasic muscles the morphology of the skeleton matures too. The target of this work is to prove the influence of the muscles onto the morphology of the hip joint - femoral neck anteversion. Motorial development in blind children

Cílem této práce je zaznamenat největší úskalí ve vývoji nevidomého dítěte do období samostatné chůze. Jaké problémy ve vývoji především hrubé motoriky přináší slepota. Proč a o jakou dobu je zpožděn vývoj nevidomého dítěte ve srovnání s dítětem vidomým. Pro dokreslení problematiky je stručně uveden také vývoj psychosociální. Tato práce je čistě teoretická. Přináší souhrn výsledků z různých studií motorického vývoje nevidomých dětí a jejich srovnání s výsledky dětí vidících. Většina studií je nejméně třicet let stará. V dnešní době je alespoň v Čechách situace taková, že všechny nevidomé děti jsou již od narození v péči odborníků a zpoždění zde uvedené se neobjeví. Tato práce se týká vývoje nevidomých dětí bez přidružených vad, které nebyly zařazeny do žádného intervenčního programu v dnešním slova smyslu. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The physiotherapy of infantile paralysis in adult patients

Tato bakalářská práce je rešeršní studií zabývající se změnami funkce pohybového aparátu a fyzioterapeutickou léčbou u dětské mozkové obrny (DMO) v dospělém věku. Pro rešerši byly prohledány elektronické databáze pro období 1966 - 2005 a dále byly využity monografické publikace vztahující se k tématu. V rešerši bylo prokázáno, že v průběhu dospělosti dochází u osob s DMO ke zhoršování funkčního stavu pohybového aparátu. S rostoucím věkem se u velké části populace s DMO zhoršuje schopnost lokomoce a dochází ke ztrátě schopnosti chůze. Hlavním cílem fyzioterapie u dospělých osob s DMO je udržení funkčních dovedností a maximální samostatnosti. Pravidelnou fyzioterapeutickou péči má podle publikovaných studií necelá polovina dospělých s DMO. Bylo dokázáno, že posilovací cvičení přináší nárůst svalové síly. Není dostupná žádná literatura hodnotící efektivitu Bobath konceptu nebo Vojtovy metody u dospělých osob s DMO. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
