Kramerová, Jana ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Mgr. Jana Kramerová Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of rigorous work: Health status of chamois population in Lužické Mountains and evaluation of anthelmintic efficacy of albendazole In the course of 2002 and 2007 years the parasitological verifications in wild chamois population living in Lužické Mountains, the Czech Republic, were realised. Actually dominating parasite is small lungworm Muellerius capillars, among other parasitic findings were identified common roundworms of intestinal tract and tapeworm of Moniezia species. Based on recognised parasitostatus the administration of albendazole was selected for control of found parasitoses. The granulate of drug was mixed with feed during the winter season and in the form of medicated feed administered to chamois. The efficacy of drug administrations were regularlly evaluated, optimal findings were found for albendazole dosing 5.0 mg/kg of body weight administered in 5 consecutive days.

Nový, Zbyněk ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
TTHHEE AABBSSTTRRAACCTT The thesis: Parasitostatus of red deer bred in selected overwintering enclosures in Eagle Mountains Made by: Zbyněk Nový The thesis describes qualitative and quantitative parasitostatus of lungworms at red deer populations bred in three overwintering enclosures of Eagle Mountains. The effectivity of therapeutical intervention was calculated from gained data. The treatment efficacy was 80 - 100 %. Larvoscopic examination showed presence of three lungworm species (Elaphostrongylus cervi, Dictyocaulus viviparius a Varestrongylus sagitatus), its extensity of appearance is changing during longterm monitoring.
Parasitostatus in selected hoofed game populations and results of antiparasitic control
Medvecká, Jitka ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
THE ABSTRACT The thesis: Parazitostatus in hoofed game populations and results of antiparasitic control. Made By: Jitka Medvecká The thesis is devoted to qualitative and quantitative determination parazitostatus of farmed breeding deer in the insemination station XCELL Slovakia. Larvoscopic examination was showed presence of lungworms (Varestrongylus spp. and Elaphostrongylus spp.). Ovoscopic examination was showed presence of nematodes of the digestive tract (Cooperia spp., Ostertagia spp.). After medical treatment, the infection prevalence caused by parasites (either in larvae or egg form) was reduced to a significantly lower level to the point, where the parasite infection status of the animal was deemed to be acceptable.
Ovine hemonchosis-results of its laboratory control in course of experimental infection
Lochmanová, Eva ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Lochmanová Eva Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Ovine hemonchosis - results of its laboratory control in course of experimental infection The anthelmintic resistance is a matter of interest in many professional workplaces, as it creates high losses for practical farm animals breeding and it represents a potentially limiting factor for the existence of their own holdings. The mechanisms leading to the anthelmintic resistance emergence are studied, and among them there is also the possibility of induction of biotransformation enzymes, that the parasites (round worms) use to overcome the contact with what is xenobiotics for themselves. Parasitic models and in the long term also Haemonchus contortus are used. Three strains of the parasite are used in the Department of Biochemical Sciences Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Hradec Kralove: fully susceptible, fully resistant, resistant only to benzimidazole anthelmintics. Parasites are experimentally reared in sheep. The aim of this thesis was to experimentally document parasitoses experimental course all of these strains by parasitological methods. L3 larvae Haemonchus contortus were given to...

Parasitostatus of red deer population in Krkonoše (Czech Republic) a results of antiparasitic control
Vávra, Vojtěch ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
THE ABSTRACT The thesis: Parasitostatus of red deer population in Krkonoše (Czech Republic) and results of antiparasitic control Made by: Vojtěch Vávra The thesis deals with the occurrence of endoparasites in red deer population, held in selected overwintering enclosures in Krkonoše Mountains - in Bílá Voda, Hlušiny and Michlův Mlýn. During winter season 2007/08 samples of faeces were collected in these enclosures, which were consequently examined larvoscopically in a quantitative and qualitative way and ovoscopically in a qualitative way. During this season anthelmintic treatment Cermix a. u. v. was applied as well. In pre-treatment samples high prevalence of Elaphostrongylus cervi was found, in 85,1 % of samples. The treatment efficacy was set in enclosures Bílá Voda and Michlův Mlýn. In Bílá Voda the efficacy reaches 43,2 % and in enclosure Michlův Mlýn reaches 86,1%.
Parasitostatus of red deer population in Eagle mountains (Czech Republic) a results of antiparasitic control
Filipský, Tomáš ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Thesis: Parasitostatus of red deer population in the Eagle Mountains (Czech Republic) and the results of antiparasitic control Made by: Tomáš Filipský The thesis deals with parasitostatus of red deer which is bred in the overwintering enclosures of the Eagle Mountains - Pádolí, Podlesí, Malá Strana. The thesis is aimed at qualitative and quantitative larvoscopic examination of individual anonymous samples of excrement and lungworm species Elaphostrongylus cervi, Varestrongylus sagittatus and Dictyocaulus viviparus. The parasitological examination showed only L1 larvae of Elaphostrongylus cervi the lungworm, the average prevalence of positive findings on the examination was 68.1 % in the winter season 2007/2008. The treatment effectivity was analysed in the overwintering enclosure Pádolí in the winter seasons 2007/2008 and 2008/2009. It achieved the value of 100.0 % in both seasons.
Muelleriosis in mouflon populations bred in game enclosures-efficacy evaluation of used anthelmintic control programmes
Pavlíková, Veronika ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
1 Abstract Muelleriosis in mouflon populations bred in game enclosures - efficacy evalution of used anthelmintic control programmes Veronika Pavlíková In this work we evaluate the effect of several control anthelmintic programmes bent against muelleriosis in mouflon breeds. We realized the programmes in the years 1996 - 2007 in three game parks (Rozpakov, Vlkov, and Vřísek). In Vřísek we engaged in the programme a Bezoar Goat too, infected by lungworm Muellerius capillaris as well, but we treated it separately. We have checked-up animal's health by the help of larvoscopy, using modified Baermann's method; the LPG values (number of L1 larvae in 1 gram of faeces) of lungworm Muellerius capillaris. We used anthelmintics of benzimidazoles group; flubendazole in dosage scheme 3 x 15 mg/kg of body weight and albendazole in dosage scheme 5 x 3 mg/kg of body weight, 5 x 5 mg/kg of body weight and 5 x 7,5 mg/kg of body weight. We were administered by medicated feed. Mouflons in Rozpakov were treated very intensively according to repeatedly determined LPG values, in Vlkov we went in for regular medication two times in a year, regardless of LPG values and the programme in Vřísek failed, sporadic drug administrations were realized only. We verified the effectivity of used anthelmintics against muelleriosis. Albendazole...
Actual health status of red deer (Cervus elaphus) population in KRNAP region
Bártl, Josef ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
This study took place in 2006 and 2007 and includes the results of the 2005, is aimed at verifying the health status of wild stocks of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) in KRNAP in the Czech Republic. The incidence of parasitic infections was investigated by coprological methods (qualitative ovoscopic method and quantitative larvoscopic method) on the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Charles University in Hradec Kralove, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. In all yards were from parasitic nematodes most evidenced by the frequency Elaphostrongylus cervi, with less frequency in other nematodes Strongylida family and genus Capillaria. Mycobacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis and Mycobacterium bovis were investigated by the culture method of mycobacteriosis and serological methods immunodifuse test (IDT) and complement fixation (RVK) on Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Center Laboratory, accredited testing laboratory in Brno (registration number: 1354). In this study was not discovered any positive samples. The study shows that mycobacterial infection not occur in wild population of Red Deer, and the parasitic infections in gastrointestinal tract are very low.
