- Agency employment The name of my diploma thesis is the agency employment. Nowadays, the institute of agency employment is a widespread phenomenon on the labour market. It is a very popular institution for employees as well as for employers, which is being changed under the demand of society needs and according to valid legislation. I have chosen this topic due to its timeliness and flexibility with which the agency employment reacts to the growing unemployment rate. Since the capacity of the agency employment is very vast, this diploma thesis aims to approach the fundamental issues and concepts relating to it. The thesis is divided into 6 chapters dealing with different aspects of agency employment. The first chapter provides the basic notions of agency employment, defines key terms associated to it. The second chapter focuses on the historical development of agency employment. It also outlines the view of international adjustment of agency employment, gives a short excursion into European legislation and provides an approach of the valid legislation in the Czech Republic. TITLE: Legal Acts Aimed at the Termination of Employment SUMMARY: The reason why I choose for my thesis the theme Legal Acts Aimed at the Termination of Employment is that I think that this theme is very topic and important. I suppose that almost everybody has experience with termination of employment but not everybody knows the effective legal regulation. The purpose and goal of my thesis is to summarize the effective legal regulation of legal acts aimed at the termination of employment regarding to substantial changes which contains the amendment of Labour Code No. 365/2011 Coll., and to point to various problems and disputed questions which might arise in the practice of law. In the conclusion I try to evaluate the effective legal regulation of legal acts at the termination of employment and to propose some possible changes of this legal regulation. The thesis is consists of seven chapters, introductory and conclusion. Most of them dealing with different types of legal acts aimed at the termination of employment. I pay attention to legal regulation of the delivering of these legal acts and to problems of legal claims concerning the invalid termination of employment as well. 199 ABSTRACT Discrimination in employment relations with the focus on sexual harassment This dissertation thesis deals with discrimination in employment relations with the focus on sexual harassment. Its primary objective is to provide a survey of the anti-discrimination or sexual harassment legislation and the means of protection against its manifestations. At the same time this thesis provides a basic overview of the development of legislation prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of sex and also of the development of legislation of the institute of sexual harassment itself. Furthermore, this thesis provides a detailed explan ation concerning anti-discrimination legislation in the area of international law and EU law which is supplemented with a specific legal analysis of sexual harassment legislation in the Federal Republic of Germany and the United States of America. The dissertation thesis is divided into ten chapters. Assistance to persons in material need

ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS IN MATERIAL NEED At the present time in the Czech Republic the assistance to persons in material need is provided by nongovernmental organisations (Salvation Army, Naděje, Diakonie and others). However, the state has the bigger role to play in this area as according to Art. 30/2 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms it is obliged to provide anyone in material need the assistance in securing basic living conditions. The state does so through the Material Need Assistance Bodies. As the previous legal regulation of assistance to persons in social need had not been fully sufficient, a new Act on Assistance in Material Need was adopted, coming into force on 1 January 2007. This Act introduced several crucial changes. The Material Need Assistance Body is obliged to provide social consultation to anyone in material need. Timely and professional consultation very often leads to resolving the difficult situation of the client, and regularly there is no longer any need to grant and disburse the relevant benefits and allowances. In case the social consultation is insufficient to resolve the situation of the client the Act allows for disbursing material need assistance benefits and allowances. Welfare of Women during Pregnancy and Maternity This thesis concernes welfare of pregnant women and women on maternity leave as well as other protection forms of families with children. The theme of this thesis was chosen due to importace of family for the whole society and because it is a often discussed topic, which is related to demografic development of society. The thesis constitutes of five chapters. The first chapter concerns historical development of social protection of pregnant women and women on maternity leave in Czech republic. Legal form of social protection of pregnant women and mothers is closely analyzed within the period of socialism. Second chapter focuses on influence of some international organisations on national systems of social protection of pregnant women and women on maternity leave. Third chapter considers theoretical questions of supporting families with children. Fourth chapter is focused on welfare of pregnant women and women on maternity leave itself. Fifth chapter complements the thesis with labour-law protection of pregnant women and of women taking care of small children.
