Usage of High Power Inverters in High Voltage Sources

This work is concerned with power inverters for alternate high voltage power sources. The theoretical part describes the topology of inverters that can be used in alternate power sources. A model of voltage transformer is described in details to better understand the parasitic effects that are inevitably present in high voltage power sources and, therefore, have to be taken into consideration at the design of high voltage power sources. The work is oriented to problems of alternate high voltage power sources for ozone generators. This is the reason, why the theoretical and, partially, also the experimental part deal with the properties of ozone and its use. The experimental part solves high voltage inverter with capacitive load that is formed by discharge element of an ozone generator. Designed inverter is able to feed the capacitive load with high voltage at very short periods of time from several microseconds up to tens of nanoseconds. In comparison with the length of voltage pulses in common ozone generators, this pulses are more than 100-time shorter. This has a positive effect to silent discharge characteristics.
Parameters identification of the asynchronous machine substituting circuit

Mathematical model and substituting circuit both include several parameters, which is important to determine for a control. This work is target on identification of parameters of substitute circuit of the asynchronous machine in -network form. The work is divided into several main units. In the first of them are shown the methods of identification of asynchronous machine on the selected machine. The measuring of torque characteristic by classical way with dynamometer and by dynamically with fly-wheels is shown in the next part of this work. The final part of this work is devoted to interpretation and comparison of achieved results.
Current Sensors

This diploma theisis deals with the theoretical analysis of the known types of current sensors, including for example, current transformers, shunts, and advanced sensors using Hall sensor or Rogowski coil. Subsequently, the rest of the work deals with the issue of current transducers with Hall sensors, without using a ferromagnetic circuit. For optimal currnet measure and overall precision, several possible options are designed and calculated. This includes number of sensing elements and distribution of sensors around the wires. Based on calaculation of magnetic intensity, related 3D charts ale plotted unsing Excel software. These charts illustrate the theoretical calculations of field distribution around conductors for various number of sensor. In the last part, components ale designed for practical implementation and scheme of electrical wiring. According to this scheme there is PCB designed as well. Whole current meter ir practically build and its results are compared with theoretical assumtions that are discussed in conclusion part of this theisis.
Street reconstruction of Prokop Veliký in Vysoké Mýto

The aim of my thesis is reconstruction of Prokop Veliký street in Vysoké Mýto.Desing should solve streamlining of roads including the connection to the side roads. Along the road there should be designed parking spaces, pedestrian crossings and places for crossing including barrier-free modifications. The separation of sidewalk from the traffic lane by the green belt will be preserved.
Principles for the implementation of controlled pressures under roads

Goal of the diploma thesis is to explain what does the term of controlled horizontal drilling mean and where it can be performed. Furthermore, it wants to show what to pay attention to during designing as well as during the actual pilot drill. Additionally, to show that pilot drill cannot be performed based on the project in all scenarios. Theoretical part of the thesis explains how the technology works and which auxiliaries are necessary to successfully perform controlled pressure. This technology is explained step by step in the practical part of the thesis to show how to proceed during the realization of controlled pressure.
Switching supply source 5,5kV/4,3kW with silicon-carbide semiconductors

This thesis is about to introduce the development of switched power supply with output voltage of 5,5 kV and power of 4,3 kW. This thesis directly follows the outputs of two previous semester projects. Main task is about to finish the development of remaining printed circuit boards and perform launching of all parts of developed power supply. Next necessary task is about to assemble a functional prototype of the supply using the developed parts, performing a series of measurement supply’s parameters and creating of technical documentation of mechanical part. There are all stages of supply’s development included in this thesis. From the first part, that describes various types of converters, through the design of all the supply’s parts, to final implementation of functional prototype. There are the results of measurement supply’s parameters at the end of this thesis.
Three Phase Line Active Rectifier

Diploma thesis deals with problems of power factor correction and total harmonic distortion of line current in three phase industrial power supplies. It focuses mainly on using of single phase active PFC topologies based on the principle of step up converter, which are applicable to three phase systems. Verification of operation and comparison of parameters of several circuits was done by simulation in program Matlab Simulink. Then for selected circuit of active PFC was done complete design. The result is a prototype of single phase active PFC circuit with an output power 2 kW for input voltage range from 180 to 528 V (47 – 63 Hz) and a prototype of three phase active PFC circuit with an output power 6 kW for input voltage range from 3 x 180 to 3 x 528 V (47 – 63 Hz).
Back-up power supply 230V/50Hz/300VA with a battery supply 12V

The aim of this project is to describe, design and create a converter from 12V DC to 230 VRMS. The power of this device is about 500W. The device consists of two main converters. The first one is step-up DC/DC converter and the other is DC/AC inverter. Step-up converter is designed as a resonant converter. It is useful for pushing down losses in semiconductors and inceasing efficiency. The inverter is changing DC voltage from the first converter to AC voltage. Control of this device is realized with DSP Motorola. This device should be used mainly for supply common devices up to 500W. Main usage is planed in a car or to another place where is not posible to connect some device to plug.
Traction Drives with Asynchronous Motors

The first part of this work is devoted to the design of a traction asynchronous motor. The second part focuses on the developed method of the equivalent circuit parameters identification of the asynchronous motor in the form of -network. It is explained here that the equivalent circuit in the shape of a -network, alternatively of an inverse 'I-network, is exactly equivalent and fully-fledged to a T-network, although one of two stray inductances is formally missing. Furthermore, the relationships for the conversions of the T-network parameters to the -network parameters and back, and of the T-network to the inverse 'I-network and back are found. The third part deals with the calculation of the torque and the current characteristics of the asynchronous motor. A sensitive analysis of the torque characteristic is carried out on the individual parameters of the equivalent circuit of the asynchronous motor in the form of a -network and a method of the measurement by means of a flywheel is used for the torque characteristic measurement of the asynchronous motor. The fourth part focuses on the verification of the identified -network parameters in the Matlab-model of the traction drive.
Laboratory power supply source with a digital control unit

This project deals with a design of power and control circuits for a laboratory power supply source, consisting of a continuous conduction mode active rectifier and DC/DC converter. Detailed design of input rectifier with active power factor correction, DC/DC converter and control circuits with their implementation to digital signal processor are the project results.
