The transformation period of Mongolian economy is connecting both parts of the text about the strategy of development. Next target of the text is a description of economic development in relation with an evolution of mongolian history in the 20th century.
Preconditions for Cyprus Reunification: International Contexts and the Role of International Organizations

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the role of the UN and the EU in the process of Cyprus reunification and to identify the main obstackles on the road to reunification along with its preconditions. It analyses the reasons for the rejection of the Annan Plan, Turkish influence on the Cyprus problem, the relation between EU membership and stronger negotiation position of Greek Cypriots. Favourable internal political situation is the fundamental precondition for solving the Cyprus problem, nevertheless many outstanding problems need to be tackled. Both communities have different opinions on security issues, therefore the shift in threat perception is desired. Historical disputes, absence of common identity and economic backwardness of Turkish Cypriots need to be overcomed. The future development will depend on the willingness of both parties to achieve a settlement based on compromise. International community should demonstrate that it will be able to garantee timely and precise implementation of relevant future agreement.
Conflict in Northern Ireland in the cultural and historical background

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the situation in Northern Ireland. It follows the historical causes of the conflict and its development over the key events in the 20th century until the recent days. Each chapter considers the conflict from a different point of view; political, diplomatic and cultural which seems to be important for understanding of the conflict itself. The parts devoted to culture and society are concerned with the reaction on the conflict in the level of an ordinary citizen and his possibilities to participate with his own endeavour in the peace process. In the last part, that refers to the latest progression, the thesis reports the hotbed of disputes which are constantly annually repeated and summarizes individual points which are in the future desired to be dedicated a special attention.
The Application of Political and Cultural Values of China to the XXIX. Olympiad

Political and cultural aspects play the key role in Chinese society and that their influence exposes inseparably in such an area as the organisation of the Olympic Games. The aim of the project is to analyse the question of the Olympic Games by means of the application of the political and cultural values of the Chinese society. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first three chapters are paid to the problems which are connected with the grant of the organisation of the Olympics Games and the historical background. The forth chapter deals with the Olympic mascots, the official logo and the motto of the Olympic Games, especially from the symbolical point of view. The fifth, and the most important part, is the application of Chinese political and cultural values on the opening ceremony. The last chapter concerns the medal ambitions of China. The conclusion is a summary of the thesis and serves as a brief review of the ascertained facts.
Cultural and historical factors influencing China's behaviour in international relations

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to make an analysis of a cultural and historical influence on a China's position and behaviour in international relations. The work examines the period of Chinese modern times, particularly the second half of the twentieth century. The main selected characteristics of Chinese philosophy and culture are applied on the Chinese foreign policy; the analysis and application of Geert Hofstede's cultural paradigms for Chinese culture is included as well. The main selected aspects of Chinese history and their influence are analysed after that, both in the given period and in present. The conclusion summarises the influence of these factors on Chinese foreign policy and assesses whether this influence is significant. It also contains the evaluation whether the observed influence complies with the reality, it means whether the theory of Chinese foreign policy corresponds with its practice.
U.S.- Israeli relations

Israeli-U.S. relations are an important factor in the Middle East. The first part of this bachelor thesis deals with the relation between the United States of America and Israel since the very beginning. The special partnership has evolved from an initial moral sympathy to an unusual and unparalleled partnership. In the second part, I try to describe the most important causes of U.S. support for Israel (such as the political clout of Jewish lobby in the U.S., American security interests in the Middle East, religious influence...). The main vehicle for expressing this support has been unprecedented economic, military and diplomatic support.
Historical and Political Factors Influencing Relations between India and Pakistan

The objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with an overview of the most important factors that have influenced the development of the India-Pakistan relations. The period of the colonial British India is treated, as well as the consequences of its dismantling. The most crucial conflicts between India and Pakistan are analysed, along with their impact on the mutual relations. The origins of the grudge between Hindus and Muslims are explained in the indo- pakistani context. Having analysed the causes and consequences of the dissolution of Pakistan, the author of this paper focuses on mutual indo-pakistani cooperation, as well as the role of nuclear weapons with regard to the contemporary problems of both countries.
China and traditional Chinese culture in the period of domination of the West and western culture: China's and Chinese culture's ability to embrace principles of the West and western culture

China is universally considered to be the next world power. Economic prerequisites are met and the rise in political influence is evident as well. But the world, predominantly the West, is concerned about China. China is still a non-democratic state. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to make an analysis of China's and Chinese culture's ability to embrace principles and values of the West and Western culture. The main emphasis is laid on the issue of democracy in China. The work examines the probable shift in values of the Chinese and judges the impact of the shift on the issue of democracy in China. The paper deals with particular Chinese conditions as well and points out obstacles and difficulties which generally emerge when China is examined. The author believes that the implementation of democracy in China is possible only under particular conditions. At the end of the paper, the author constructs a federal political system that could be implemented in China with respect to particular Chinese circumstances.
The Sri Lankan Conflict - Survey on Causes and Different Ways of Solution

This bachelor thesis deals with the Sri Lankan ethnic conflict. The first part is devoted to an analysis of the root causes invoking the conflict. In the second part, three specific solutions applied in an effort to terminate the conflict are described. The last part of the thesis represents the author's own evaluation and his proposal of a scenario which could contribute to permanent peace.
Situation of Kurds in Turkey and Iraq and its influence on regional development

This bachelor thesis focuses on situation of Kurds in Turkey and Iraq applying to their historical and ethnical context. It concentrates on their definition, characteristics, development, adjusted politics and present movements in reference to Turkey and Iraq because of their highest percentual rate of Kurdish population. The main aim is to analyse and compare their position in relation to majority community from different points of view. The thesis also takes into account the influence of Kurdish question on the Middle East region and attitudes of international actors to solution of Kurdish case especially in relation to human rights and minority policy.
