Pupils' knowledge level research related to aspects of Russian life and customs

SUMMARY: Elementary school pupils' knowledge of aspects of Russian life and customs is the prime object of this diploma thesis. The thesis inspects this field differences among students taught Russian language and those who are not educated in Russian, as well as it considers the cross-curricular activities. The main hypothesis presumes to find the group educated in Russian in better knowledge conditions while all of the students are supposed to be equipped well with information - thanks to cross-curricular activities. The hypothesis is expected to be verified or refuted by the question-form method of the research and following datarevaluation. Research results bring a conclusion: sufficient time allocation, effective cross-curricular activities and didactically controlled motivation are the explicit knowledge level dominant factors.
Impact of Audio-lingual Methods on Effectiveness of Teaching the Russian Language

Diploma thesis deals with the audiolingual operations in mixed method and their impact to effectiveness of Russian language teaching of secondary students and also to cognitive and memory learning strategies. This work was realized during the first 18 months of Russian language teaching. It was realized within the ambit of an applicated research which was based by a statistic analysis at Merchant Academy in Brno during 2005-2006. Diploma thesis is aimed to show better efficiency of Russian language teaching by using audiolingual operations in mixed method compared with classic mixed method. The theoretic starting point is based on the princips of audiolongual method found by American structuralists using the auditive understanding of the students. The perceptive language activity is emphasized and followed by more intensive and rapid fixation of the language. The research is based on both quality and quantity methodology - didactic language tests and observing method. The conclusion of this research confirms better effect of audiolingual operations in mixed method of Russian language teaching in all areas of interest - the language competitions e.g. lexical, grammatical, orthographical and audition (listening). Language Tools and Strategies in Electronic Communication in RUNET

The aim is to provide a basic description and comparison of selected language tools and strategies which the Internet users use, especially with regard to the form of communication (online, offline). In the theoretical part will be described the selected communication tools and strategies on chats and forums, in the practical part will be presented the examples from an analysis of web resources.
Teaching grammar of Russian language in Czech learning resources for level B1 compared to the requirements of the Standard for teaching Russian as a foreign language

This diploma thesis deals with the grammar curriculum of Russian language in the Czech teaching resources for B1 level and compares it with the requirements of the Standard for teaching Russian as a foreign language. The theoretical part of the thesis defines terms related to grammar; it describes and compares Czech and Russian curriculum documents and concerns with the Russian grammar teaching in the communicative approach. The last chapter of this part discusses the role of a teaching resource in the teaching process, the selection of such a resource and the description of individual resources for B1 level. The practical part presents the results of the content analysis of the teaching resources with respect to their minimum required grammar, which is first described individually for each resource and then compared with the requirements of the Standard for teaching Russian as a foreign language. Diplomová práce "K problematice užívání variantních koncovek podstatných jmen rodu mužského v současném ruském jazyce" se zabývá problematikou variantních koncovek jednotlivých pádů podstatných jmen rodu mužského v současném ruském mluveném jazyce. Cílem diplomové práce bylo uvést ucelený seznam podstatných jmen rodu mužského, která připouštějí variování v pádových koncovkách (teoretická část) a pokusit se na základě provedeného dotazníku nastínit situaci, která panuje v užívání variantních koncovek genitivu singuláru a nominativu plurálu podstatných jmen rodu mužského v současném ruském jazyce (empirická část). Problems with using of the reflexive "себя" in studying Russian

This diploma thesis deals with the Russian reflexive pronoun «себя» in comparison with the Czech pronoun. The aim of this thesis is to compile a set of exercises for students of the Russian language in order to eliminate mistakes in connection with this topic. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is based on specialized (academical) literature. This part contains general characteristics and classifications of pronouns. It focuses on issues with the Russian reflexive pronoun and its Czech equivalents. It also includes a chapter about transfer and interference. The practical part proceeds from the theoretical part and from a questionnaire. The questionnaire was completed by the first-year students of the Faculty of Education. On the basis of its results, general conclusions and proposals of exercises for acquiring the topic are formulated and intended for students of the Russian language.
