Vliv Mindlinových okrajových podmínek na šíření vln v tlusté anizotropní desce
Červená, Olga ; Hora, Petr
This paper deals with analytical formulation of dispersion curves for stress waves in a free (001)-cut cubic and orthotropic plate. The direction of wave propagation is arbitrary. The dispersion curves for Cu and carbon reinforced composite are presented. These results are compared to the uncoupled Mindlin modes. This work is very important for determination of the elastic coefficients of anisotropic materials.
Simulation of elastic wave propagation in fcc copper and fcc nickel
Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Machová, Anna
We present large-scale molecular dynamic simulations of wave propagation in fcc copper and fcc nickel based on an N-body potential model which gives a good description of anisotropic elasticity. We show that the basic behavior of the simulations is in agreement with the predictions of continuum models.
Analytical formulation of dispersion curves in a plate with cubic anisotropy for arbitrary direction of wave propagation
Červená, Olga ; Hora, Petr
This paper deals with analytical formulation of dispersion curves for stress waves in a free (001)-cut cubic plate. The direction of wave propagation is arbitrary and it is defined by the angle .FI., the angle between the [100] axis and the wave vector. The dispersion curves for Cu are presented. These results are compared to the uncoupled Mindlin modes.

Wave propagation simulations by molecular dynamics methods
Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Machová, Anna
We present large-scale molecular dynamic simulations of wave propagationin alfa-iron based on an N-body potential model which gives a good descriptionof anisotropic elasticity. We show that the basic behavior of the simulations is inagreement with the predictions of continuum models.
Dispersion curves in plate of cubic anisotropy
Hora, Petr ; Červená, Olga
The mathematical technique for obtaining dispersion curves for stresswaves in free plates of arbitrary anisotropy is outlined. The dispersion relations forpropagation in a (001)-cut cubic plate are obtained. The dispersion curves for Cuare presented. These results are compared to the uncoupled SV and P modes.
Dispersion curves in a thick orthotropic plate
Hora, Petr
A detailed expressions for the dispersion equations of an infinite orthotropic plate is considered.Dispersion curves are presented for the unidirectional composite. The results will be used to understand and to expand the use of acousto-ultrasonic testingin nondestructive evaluation.
Parallel programming in molecular dynamics simulations
Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Machová, Anna
Molecular dynamics simulation is a well-established technique for modeling complex many-particle systems in diverse areas of physics and chemistry. The computational requirements of simulations of large systems are enormous. They make the use of high-performance parallel computers indispensable and have led to the development of a broad range of advanced algorithms for these machines. We have developed a classical molecular dynamics code in MPI based on Newtonian dynamics.
Risk ased inspection (RBI)
Přibáň, Miroslav ; Žemlička, F. ; Hora, Petr ; Vlach, J.
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) represents modern quickly developed practiceof inspection and in-service examination strategy of structure as part ofplant integrity management. The role of Acoustic emission in the RBI isdiscussed in the article and contribution of AE as part of the RBIstrategy is emphasized.
The preprocessor for system LISA
Hora, Petr ; Šiňor, M.
In this contribution we pay attention to the propagation of the stress waves in an arbitrary complex inhomogeneous media. For the system of elastodynamic wave equations we have adopted the method of solution based on the local interaction simulation approach (LISA) and the sharp interface model (SIM) introduced for 1D, 2D and 3D cases in [1-3].
