Reuslts of parasitological control in lambs (Ovis aries) of grant experiments I.
Prušková, Ludmila ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
In this graduation theses we targeted the incidence of H. contortus, the nematode parasite of small ruminants. The studies were carried out on the farms "Skochovice" and "Lužec nad Cidlinou" in the Czech Republic with young sheep of breed of mainly Merinolandschaft and less of "romanovské" breed . It was detected an effectivity of anthelmintics from a group of macrocycle lactons and benzimidazole. On the both farm benzimidazole resistance was detected by the help of Larval development tests and Egg hatch tests. Further the sheep were infected by larvae of H. contortus and takings of rectal faeces were carried out. From samples a number of eggs was abated by quantitative ovoscopical methods and other tribes of nematode parasites were identificated by the help of qualitative ovoscopical methods. The conclusion of studies demonstrated a nematode parasite H. contortus resistant of benzimidazole anthelmintics. A target of turning out of larvae H. contortus was realized too.

THE ABSTRACT Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of farmacology and toxicology Candidate: Markéta Oborná Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Parasitostatus of mouflon in selected game enclosure-results of monitoring during years 2008-09 The thesis is devoted to monitoring development parazitostatus of mouflon in selected game enclosure Vlkov. In this enclosure occur a combined infection of Dicrocoelium dendriticum and Muellerius capillaris regarding sutaible natural conditions. Larvoscopic examination has showed presence of lungworms M. capillaris and ovoscopic examination has showed presence of trematodes D. dicrocoelium. In present a prevalence of both infection is on the increase against results in last year.
Actual health status of red deer (Cervus elaphus) population in KRNAP region
Bártl, Josef ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
This study took place in 2006 and 2007 and includes the results of the 2005, is aimed at verifying the health status of wild stocks of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) in KRNAP in the Czech Republic. The incidence of parasitic infections was investigated by coprological methods (qualitative ovoscopic method and quantitative larvoscopic method) on the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Charles University in Hradec Kralove, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. In all yards were from parasitic nematodes most evidenced by the frequency Elaphostrongylus cervi, with less frequency in other nematodes Strongylida family and genus Capillaria. Mycobacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis and Mycobacterium bovis were investigated by the culture method of mycobacteriosis and serological methods immunodifuse test (IDT) and complement fixation (RVK) on Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Center Laboratory, accredited testing laboratory in Brno (registration number: 1354). In this study was not discovered any positive samples. The study shows that mycobacterial infection not occur in wild population of Red Deer, and the parasitic infections in gastrointestinal tract are very low.
Pneumonematodoses of Red Deer Population and Results of its Control in Specific Overwintering Enclosure
Vávra, Vojtěch ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
The thesis: Pneumonematodoses of red deer population and results of its control in specific overwintering enclosure Made by: Vojtěch Vávra The thesis deals with a description of specific pneumonematodoses in red deer population, held in Pádolí overwintering enclosure (Orlické hory). The thesis is also focused on nematodoses of this population present during winter season 2009/10, thein treatment (Vermitan 20% premix, a. u. v.) and evaluation of treatment efficacy. During winter season 2009/10 samples of faeces were repeatedly collected and examined larvoscopically for nematodes in a quantitative and qualitative way. In pre-treatment samples Elaphostrongylus cervi and Varestrongylus sagittatus were found with positive prevalence reaching 92 % and 30 %. Post-treatment samples also contain larvae of E. cervi and V. sagittatus, their prevalence rates are lowest shortly after treatment and rise in latter samples. The efficacy of albendazole in treating pneumonematodoses was evaluated insufficient.
Pharmacotherapy of horse leg disorders and results of experimental control in selected breeds
Hassová, Barbara ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
The goal of the diploma thesis was to abstract a literary overview the most often dermatitis incident on acras, especially, in the area of fetlock and fetlock-deep. I mentioned a clinical picture, treatment and possible methods of prevention by single types of dermatitid. I described likely factors affecting the origin and the progress of pastern dermatitis; furthermore, I noted the prevalence and the frequence of the incidence of pastern dermatitis. In terms of the experimental part I treated 23 horses suffering that dermal disease. There were included 12 mares , 9 geldings and 2 stallions. I recorded a few options of the treatment process during the evaluation of the therapeutical intervention in light of effectivity of the chosen therapy; for example, the improvement and the restoration of pastern dermatitis after selected pharmacotherapy; firstly, betterment of pastern dermatitis and it is necessary to use a different preparation for after-treatment; secondly, pastern dermatitis got worse after the application of pharmacotherapy and it was requiered to change the treatment; finally, the specific case was a solar dermatitis. The single cases were analyzed in terms of the lenght of therapy and usage of a horse. Among the external preparations were involved lotions, liniments, suspensions and gel....
Ovine hemonchosis-results of its laboratory control in course of experimental infection
Lochmanová, Eva ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Lochmanová Eva Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Ovine hemonchosis - results of its laboratory control in course of experimental infection The anthelmintic resistance is a matter of interest in many professional workplaces, as it creates high losses for practical farm animals breeding and it represents a potentially limiting factor for the existence of their own holdings. The mechanisms leading to the anthelmintic resistance emergence are studied, and among them there is also the possibility of induction of biotransformation enzymes, that the parasites (round worms) use to overcome the contact with what is xenobiotics for themselves. Parasitic models and in the long term also Haemonchus contortus are used. Three strains of the parasite are used in the Department of Biochemical Sciences Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Hradec Kralove: fully susceptible, fully resistant, resistant only to benzimidazole anthelmintics. Parasites are experimentally reared in sheep. The aim of this thesis was to experimentally document parasitoses experimental course all of these strains by parasitological methods. L3 larvae Haemonchus contortus were given to...

Consultant: Doc. MVDr. Karel Bukovjan, CSc. Name of the rigorous work: The field-test results of verification the antihelmintic efficiency of Ivermectin among species of fallow deers This rigourous work is concerned with the usage of the medicine with active substance Ivermectin, so called CERMIX. The usage of medicine was observed while feeding hoofed animals by a premixed form of CERMIX contained in the given feedstuff. From the categorizing into zoological system point of view, the target species and their biological characteristics are being described. The most important medicaments that are being used in hoofed animals breeding and the needed legislation for their usage can be found in synopsis. The core of particular work consists in the observation of Ivermectin efficiency. In other words, comparing the proportion of parasitic infestation among fallow deers at two deer- parks, namely: Volský žlab and Kněžičky. The infection intensity was observed before the Ivermectin usage and twenty-eight days after at these two deer-parks. The research done in years 2005-2010 results in the proved efficiency of...
