Power meter for USB devices
Macek, Josef ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the construction of a USB device that allows monitoring of electrical parameters, such as voltage and current and subsequently calculates energy consumption. The thesis contains a theoretical section where the reader is introduced to the history of USB technology, its types and specifications. It also discusses USB fast charging technologies. In the final section of the theoretical section the components suitable for creating this device are listed. The practical section deals with the design of the device's schematic and printed circuit board, programming the microchip and the actual testing. The conclusion summarizes the findings from the device's production and suggests further options for expanding the device's capabilities.
Rental information system
Koláček, Tomáš ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Caha, Tomáš (advisor)
The work deals with the development of a web application using C#/.NET 8 and Blazor Server technology. The application is created as an information system for rental compa- nies. The application provides a user interface for managing a wide range of information that is important for rental companies, such as managing customers, borrowed items and loans. All information is stored in an MSSQL database, the structure of which is created using the Entity Framework Core technology version 8.0.5 using the Code First method. All web interfaces and their functions are described on both the implementation and user side. The application can also generate PDF files for loans created from DOCX templates.
Home security system
Čada, Jan ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of a security system for a family house. It consists of a central control panel, a control keyboard and detectors connected using cables. The first part of the thesis discusses the electronic security and fire alarm systems, describing the individual elements of these systems and their different types. Magnetic contacts, fire detectors, sirens and a mains power supply with UPS function are selected from the current offer based on a comparison of parameters. In the next section, a block diagram of the whole system is designed. Raspberry Pi Pico development board with an RP2040 microcontroller is selected along with a GSM module SIM800L for SMS alarm notification and an Ethernet module with a Wiznet W5500 chip for the possibility of implementing a web interface. Schematics of the individual modules of the system are designed - for the central control panel, input module with PCF8574 circuit and two PCBs of the control keyboard module, which is equipped with a button keyboard with backlight, character LCD display type 1602 and proximity sensor VL53L0X for automatic lighting when person comes closer than a defined distance. PCBs are designed according to the schematics. Their manufacturing is then ordered, all components are mounted and the PCBs are placed in a 3D printed enclosure in the case of the control keyboard, and on the mounting plate of the metal cabinet in the case of the central control panel, according to the designed mounting plan. For the selected piezo sirens, covers are designed and 3D printed in the design of the selected Paradox NV5 motion sensors. In addition to the central control panel and the control keyboard, door and window contacts, fire detectors and sirens are installed in the house. The next part is dealing with the development of the control software for the central control panel and control keyboard in MicroPython language and the design of a custom communication protocol on the RS-485 bus for communication between the central control panel and control keyboard. Both control programs are based on the state machine principle, and their state diagrams are presented in the thesis. Part of the text is also focused on the development of the central control panel web interface and integration of the desinged system into the Home Assistant open-source automation system. The last part describes the activation and testing of the system in real conditions of a family house.

Švikruha, Patrik ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
DotVVM, WebAssembly, WASM, Blazor, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, .NET, Mono, JavaScript, JavaScript engine, LLVM, AOT compiler, JIT compiler, WSL
Secure data transfer between multiplatform database servers
Navrátil, Jiří ; Janovič, Filip (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This work deals with options of servers synchronization, possibilities of communication among client applications and database server. It also sets up solution using the application server and demonstrates its realization in common development environment.
Electronic RLC meter
Dvořák, Radim ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This work deals with measurement methods of passive components R, L ,C used almost in every electrical circuit. Work describes progress of choosing the right methods for measurement and also the process of designing the autonomous RLC meter with use of ATMEL microprocessor chips. The RLC meter will be powered from rechargable battery and will be able to measure primary attributes of RLC components.
USB cable tester
Fašanga, Jozef ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
Measuring low resistances is a problem that also occurs with USB cables. The basic feature influencing the functionality is the voltage drop. The work deals with the theoretical possibilities of measuring low resistances and subsequent realization of connections. The ATmega32U4 microcontroller is used to control the device, which provides a USB interface for programming. Work theoretically discusses individual communications used for OLED display and ADC. Subsequently, the work discusses the design of the box for the device and the basics of the program, which is uploaded to the microcontroller.
Design of desktop applications using the workflow library
Zeman, Kryštof ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis generally focuses on history and development of work- flow library, briefly describing most important features and options, which gives the reader basics needed to understand and orientation in the topic. In practical part of the thesis is detailly analized prime example, which is showing options, flexibility and advantages of connecting WF and WPF libraries. Primarily the thesis uses the most widely used model and shows how to pass information between workflow and WPF.
Presentation of data from a MySQL database in Windows Presentation Foundation
Polách, Michal ; Frolka, Jakub (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
In the thesis there is demonstrated and explained the creation of WPF MVVM design pattern based applications for brisk browsing, searching and editing of data in large library database stored on a MySQL server. Quick loading of data is achieved by using data virtualization using the paging method.
Programmable timer configurable via USB
Dresler, Jan ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of printed circuit boards and programming AVR microcontroller, that communicates with the digital thermometer Dallas, also with photoresist circuit and RTC. Using sensors and relay allows switching of different devices. The switch allows direct configuration with computer via USB using the auxiliary circuit UART.
