Práce popisuje probíhající proces konvergence České republiky a proces proběhlé konvergence Slovenské republiky k Hospodářské a měnové unii Evropské unie a zavedení jednotné evropské měny (eura) v těchto zemích. Přínáší též pohled na možné dopady ze zavedení eura. Zejména se jedná o srovnání a analýzu výhod a nevýhod plynoucích z tohoto kroku. Práce rovněž přibližuje budoucí vývoj v České republice. Bachelors thesis describes the ongoing process of convergence of the Czech Republic and the completed process of convergence of the Slovak Republic to the Economic and Monetary Union of the European Union and the adoption of the united European currency (euro) in these countries. It also gives an account of all possible impacts resulting from the adoption of the euro. Especially the thesis brings the comparison and analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of this step. The thesis describes the future progress in the Czech Republic too.
