Diplomová práce se zabývá pojišťovnictvím ve Vietnamu, trhem životního a neživotního pojištění a jejich charakteristikami, historickým vývojem a základní právními normami. Důležitou součástí práce je také vymezení pojistných zprostředkovatelů a zajišťoven, jako významných subjektů pojistného trhu. V úvodu práce je popsán makroekonomický a sociodemografický rámec, ve kterém pojistný trh Vietnamu funguje. Pojišťovnictví ve Vietnamu je mladým odvětvím, které nedosahuje úrovně evropských zemí. Avšak je to sektor, který se progresivně rozvíjí a má velký potenciál do budoucna, zejména pokud budou dále pokračovat vládní reformy, které směřují k větší otevřenosti země a k fungování ekonomiky na tržních principech. This thesis is focused on insurance business in Vietnam, life insurance and nonlife insurance market within the frame of past and present development. Important part of this thesis is also description of insurance intermediaries and reinsurance companies that are significant subjects in insurance market. Macroeconomic and sociodemographic conditions, in which insurance market operates, are described in first chapter. Vietnam insurance market is underdeveloped in comparison to European countries. On the other hand this sector is progressively developing and has large potential; especially in case government reforms will continue and will lead to international openness and free market economy in Vietnam.
