Abstract: Tato práce si dává za cíl analyzovat možnosti nasazení biometrických technologií z pohledu zabezpečení informačního systému. Seznamuje čtenáře se základními principy oboru biometrie. Práce popisuje bezpečnostní kanály, které by měli být chráněny a porovnává běžné a biometrické zabezpečení těchto slabých míst. Na závěr je v práci popsána technologie biometrického certifikátu.
