První část práce se zabývá historií a současností hospodářských vztahů mezi Československou (později Českou) republikou a Guinejskou republikou. Tyto vztahy byly především v 60. letech velmi rozvinuté. Později spolupráce mírně upadala, až se ke konci 80. let dostala na minimum. Velkým problémem zůstal obrovský dluh Guineji vůči České republice. V současné době se nemluví o obnovení vzájemného obchodu. Guinea vždy vyžadovala také rozvojovou pomoc. Té se jí od Československé republiky v minulosti dostávalo především v oblasti vzdělávání. V současné době rozvojovou pomoc zajišťuje několik nestátních neziskových organizací. Třetí část pohlíží na problematiku z globálnějšího hlediska. Sleduje hospodářskou a rozvojovou spolupráci mezi EU a zeměmi ACP, kde se zaměřuje především na africký region. Cílem práce je nastínění bohaté historie vztahů mezi Československou republikou a Guineou. Autorka hledá příčiny ukončení těchto vztahů a na příkladu spolupráce mezi EU a zeměmi ACP se snaží nalézt možné nástroje pro obnovu spolupráce. The first part is concerned with the history and the actual state of the economic relations between Czechoslovakia (the Czech Republic) and Guinea. These relations used to be very developed particulary in the 1960s. After that the cooperation was being on the decline and at the end of the 1980s it reached the minimum. Nowadays the big problem is a high debt of Guinea towards the Czech republic. Guinea has always demanded the developing aid. In the past it received it also from Czechoslovakia particulary in the education. Nowadays the developing aid is executed by certain Czech non-governmental and non-profit organizations. The third part describes the economic and developing cooperation between the EU and the countries ACP, especially the African region. The aim of the work is to describe the rich history of the relations between Czechoslovakia and Guinea. The author wants to find the reasons why these relations have been broken and to find the instruments for the recovery of the cooperation.
