Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zjistit pomocí dotazníkového šetření stav informování veřejnosti o mimořádné události, a to jak v preventivní fázi, tak i ve fázi řešení takové situace. V dnešní době jsou informace alfou a omegou společnosti, neboť nutnost mít na dosah správné a potřebné informace rychle narůstá, a to i v oblasti ochrany obyvatelstva, kde jejich přijetí, správné vyhodnocení a včasné předání má vliv na ochranu života a zdraví obyvatel, jejich majetek a také na životní prostředí. Práce se v úvodní části za pomoci dostupných pramenů zabývá informacemi a komunikací obecně. Tedy vznikem, šířením a využitím informací. Tato část se dále věnuje problematice mimořádných událostí, preventivně výchovné činnosti, komunikačnímu řetězci informací mezi veřejností a pracovišti, která odpovídají za řešení mimořádné události, a také způsobům informování veřejnosti při mimořádné události. Další část práce je věnována rozboru výsledků získaných pomocí dotazníkového šetření a komparaci vybraných výsledků tohoto šetření s informacemi získanými při neformálních rozhovorech s odbornými pracovníky. Tyto výsledky mohou být využity Hasičským záchranným sborem Jihočeského kraje k přípravě odborných školení starostů obcí, případně pro pořádání osvětové činnosti mezi veřejností. Závěr práce předkládá návrhy možných způsobů informování veřejnosti, a to jak v přípravné fázi, tak i ve fázi řešení mimořádné události. Je velice důležité, aby veřejnost byla seznámena s informacemi, které jsou nezbytné pro správné chování v případě mimořádné události, protože jen vzdělaný a informovaný člověk bude schopen ochránit sám sebe a být nápomocný i ostatním. This bachelor thesis seeks to investigate, by means of a questionnaire survey, the level of information of the general public about an extraordinary event, both in the stage of its prevention and in the stage of dealing with the event. At present, information is the alpha and omega in the society as the necessity to have correct and necessary information available increases quickly, also in the field of protection of the population, while the receiving of information, its correct evaluation and timely communication may affect lives and health of the population, the property, as well as the environment. In its introductory part the thesis, using available sources, deals with information and communication in general. This includes generation, spreading and utilization of information. It also covers the issues of extraordinary events, preventive educational activities, communication chains to spread information among the public and workplaces responsible for dealing with extraordinary events, as well as methods used to inform the general public in the course of extraordinary events. The other part of the thesis analyzes results obtained from the questionnaire survey and compares chosen results with the information obtained from informal interviews with professional workers. The results may be utilized by the Fire Rescue Service of the South Bohemian region to prepare specialized trainings for mayors of municipalities or for education of the general public. Conclusions of the thesis contain proposed methods to inform the general public, both during the preparatory stage of an extraordinary event and while dealing with it. It is very important for the general public to have the information necessary for proper conduct in case of an extraordinary event because only a well-instructed and informed person is able to protect him/herself and help the other people.
