Poloplastická loutka je technika animovaního filmu, kterou v 60. letech 20. století rozvinul Břetislav Pojar a natočil s její pomocí tři slavné animované série. Potom tato technika zanikla. Ve své práci se snažím zodpovědět dvě otázky - proč vznikla a proč zanikla - tím, že srovnávám její výhody i nevýhody s ostatními druhy animovaného filmu, kresleným, ploškovým a loutkovým. Puppetoon animation is an animation technique which involves the use of different versions of puppet for each frame. While typically the puppet consists of many separate peaces, Břetislav Pojar in his famous animated series Pane, pojďte si hrát used one with an armature inside. Describinig the technique concerning the other animation techniques it is interpreted to be analogous not only to the puppet animation but also cutout and hand-drawn animation. .
