MUDr. Jakub Otáhal, Ph.D. Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá určováním biologického věku mozku ze strukturální magnetické rezonance pomocí algoritmů umělé inteligence. Teoretická část práce popisuje koncept biologického věku mozku, změny mozku v průběhu stárnutí a roli magnetické rezonance při hodnocení biologického věku mozku. Dále se věnuje vývoji přístupů k predikci biologického věku mozku. Cílem práce bylo provést literární rešerši dostupných metod hodnocení biologického věku mozku, vybrat vhodné algoritmy pro odhad biologického věku mozku ze strukturální magnetické rezonance, popsat jejich princip a následně ověřit validitu výsledků na sadě zdravých pediatrických pacientů. Ve výzkumné části byly porovnány vybrané algoritmy brainageR a DeepBrainNet na kohortě 40 zdravých probandů ve věku 5-18 let. Hodnocení výsledků bylo založeno na porovnání predikovaného věku mozku s chronologickým věkem probandů pomocí korelační analýzy a ukazatele BrainAGE. Statistická analýza ukázala, že na zkoumané kohortě dosahoval lepší přesnosti algoritmus DeepBrainNet, zatímco algoritmus brainageR... - Abstract This bachelor's thesis focuses on the estimation of biological brain age from structural magnetic resonance imaging using artificial intelligence algorithms. The theoretical part describes the concept of biological brain age, changes in the brain during aging and the role of magnetic resonance imaging in assessing biological brain age. The aim of the thesis was to conduct a literature review of available methods for assessing biological brain age, select suitable algorithms for estimating biological brain age from structural magnetic resonance and subsequently verify the validity of the results on a cohort of healthy pediatric subjects. In the research part of the thesis the selected algorithms brainageR and DeepBrainNet were compared on a cohort of 40 healthy subjects aged 5-18 years. The evaluation of the results was based on a comparison of the predicted brain age with the subjects' chronological age using correlation analysis and the BrainAGE index. Statistical analysis showed that the DeepBrainNet algorithm achieved better accuracy in the studied cohort, while the brainageR algorithm exhibited a higher prediction error and greater dependence of accuracy on the subjects' age.
