Východiska: Bakalářská práce se zabývá subjektivním prožíváním bolesti a strachu u pacientů podstupujících kolonoskopické vyšetření a proměnnými, které tyto modality mohou ovlivňovat. Pozornost je věnována zejména psychologickým faktorům, klinickým a procedurálním aspektům vyšetření a vlivu farmakologické sedace na komfort pacientů. Cíle: Cílem této kvantitativní studie bylo posoudit vztah mezi intenzitou bolesti při kolonoskopii a strachem před a po vyšetření, zhodnotit vliv vybraných sociodemografických, psychologických a klinických proměnných na prožívání bolesti, analyzovat význam délky vyšetření, předchozí zkušenosti a kvality střevní přípravy a posoudit vliv podání midazolamu a insuflace CO₂ na bolestivost a strach pacientů. Metodika: Do studie byli zařazeni pacienti podstupující kolonoskopii na endoskopickém pracovišti Nemocnice svatého Kříže v Praze, kteří splnili stanovená inkluzivní a exkluzivní kritéria. Data byla získána pomocí dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného na hodnocení bolesti, strachu a subjektivního prožitku vyšetření. Ke statistickému zpracování byly použity parametrické i neparametrické testy, korelační analýzy, regresní analýza a posouzení velikosti efektu. Background: This bachelor's thesis focuses on the subjective experience of pain and fear in patients undergoing colonoscopy and on factors that may influence these modalities. Special attention is paid to psychological factors, clinical and procedural aspects of the examination, and to the effect of pharmacological sedation on patient comfort. Objectives: The aim of this quantitative study was to assess the relationship between pain intensity during colonoscopy and fear before and after the examination, to evaluate the influence of selected sociodemographic, psychological, and clinical variables on pain perception, to analyze the role of procedure duration, previous experience, and bowel preparation quality, and to assess the impact of midazolam administration and CO₂ insufflation on pain and fear levels. Methods: Patients undergoing colonoscopy at the endoscopic unit of the Hospital of the Holy Cross in Prague who met predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled in the study. Data were collected using a questionnaire focused on the assessment of pain, fear, and subjective experience of the examination.
