Tato diplomová práce se zabývá, jakým způsobem česká zpravodajská média reprezentují žen v oboru Informačních technologií (IT). Přestože IT obor prostupuje do všech oblastí moderního života, zastoupení žen zůstává v těchto oborech stále nízký, což vyvolává otázku, jakou roli v tomto procesu hrají mediální obrazy a genderové stereotypy. Cílem práce bylo za pomoci feministické kritické diskurzivní analýzy prozkoumat a rozkrýt, jak média vytvářejí identitu IT expertek a jestli tento diskurz přispívá k bourání bariér či k jejich udržování. Výzkum byl založený na kvalitativní analýze účelově vybraných zpravodajských článků ze čtyř zpravodajských serverů. Práce se pak zaměřila na identifikaci dominantních významových rámců a mocenských struktur v jazyce, které formují obraz žen v technologiích. Kvalitativní analýza nakonec odhalila, že média konstruují ženy v IT jako "řešitelky problémů" a fascinující anomálie v maskulinním prostředí. Byly identifikovány čtyři klíčové rámce jako paradox inkluze, dekonstrukce symbolické anihilace, vyjednávání genderové identity a konstrukce IT jako reformovaného prostoru. This diploma thesis examines how the Czech news media portray women in the field of Information Technology (IT). Although the IT sector permeates all areas of modern life, the representation of women in these fields remains low, raising the question of what role media portrayals and gender stereotypes play in this process. The aim of this thesis was to use feminist critical discourse analysis to examine and uncover how the media constructs the identity of female IT experts and whether this discourse contributes to breaking down barriers or to maintaining them. The research was based on a qualitative analysis of purposefully selected news articles from four news websites. The study then focused on identifying dominant frames of meaning and power structures in language that shape the image of women in technology. The qualitative analysis ultimately revealed that the media construct women in IT as "problem solvers" and fascinating anomalies in a masculine environment. Four key frameworks were identified: the paradox of inclusion, the deconstruction of symbolic annihilation, the negotiation of gender identity, and the construction of IT as a reformed space.
