40 Abstrakt Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice koalic na obecní úrovni a s nimi spojenými teoriemi. Teorie jsou aplikovány na pět radničních koalic města Mělník vzniklých mezi roky 2010-2024. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, do jaké míry je Balíkova teorie na obecní koalice stále aplikovatelná a zda výsledek poukáže na možné úpravy této teorie. Sekundárním cílem je pro srovnání aplikovat na analyzované mělnické koalice Jüptnerovu teorii a Bubeníčkovu typologii koalic. Výzkum je koncipován jako kvalitativní jedno-případová deskriptivní studie. Primární data byla získána prostřednictvím sedmi polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s členy analyzovaných mělnických radničních koalic, sekundární data pak analýzou městských kronik, volebních výsledků a mediálních výstupů. Data byla analyzována metodou otevřeného kódování. Relevantním aktérům bylo rovněž vyhodnoceno jejich ideové zakotvení. Analýza pěti radničních koalic odhalila zásadní limity aplikovatelnosti Balíkovy teorie, zejména v její ideové dimenzi. Výsledky ukazují, že v kontextu mělnické komunální politiky není ideová propojenost pro aktéry relevantní a při tvorbě koalic dominují osobní vztahy, pragmatismus a negativní vymezení vůči opozici. Práce dále identifikuje selhání předpokladu unitárního charakteru politických stran, což dokládá vnitřním... 40 Abstract The bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of coalitions at the municipal level and the associated theories. These theories are applied to five city council coalitions in the town of Mělník formed between 2010 and 2024. The main aim of the thesis is to determine to what extent Balík's theory remains applicable to municipal coalitions and whether the results indicate possible modifications to the theory. A secondary aim is to apply Jüptner's theory and Bubeníček's coalition typology to the analyzed Mělník coalitions for comparison. The research is designed as a qualitative, single-case descriptive study. Primary data were collected through seven semi-structured interviews with members of the analyzed Mělník city council coalitions, while secondary data were gathered by analyzing city chronicles, election results, and media outputs. The data were analyzed using open coding. The ideological positioning of relevant actors was also evaluated. The analysis of five city council coalitions revealed significant limitations of Balík's theory, especially in its ideological dimension. The results show that ideological alignment is not relevant for actors in the context of Mělník's municipal politics, where coalition formation is dominated by personal relationships, pragmatism, and negative positioning...
