Psychologické profilování pachatele vraždy Abstrakt Předkládaná diplomová práce se věnuje kriminalistické metodě psychologického profilování neznámého pachatele vraždy a jejímu místu v práci kriminalisty. Cílem práce je kriticky zhodnotit, do jaké míry mohou výstupy psychologického profilování přispět k vyšetřovací praxi, a to prostřednictvím propojení teoretických poznatků s analýzou reálných případů. Práce v prvé řadě vymezuje pojem psychologického profilování, přičemž poukazuje na přetrvávající terminologickou nejednotnost, která tuto metodu provází od jejího vzniku. Jsou představeny definice předních odborníků - od přístupu FBI zastoupeného Johnem E. Douglasem přes britskou investigativní psychologii Davida Cantera až po behaviorální důkazní analýzu Brenta Turveye. Historický vývoj metody je sledován od raných pseudoracionálních forem "profilace" přes případ newyorského šílence s bombou George Meteskyho, jenž je považován za první moderní aplikaci psychologického profilování, až po institucionalizaci metody v rámci Jednotky behaviorálních věd FBI v sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech dvacátého století a následný rozvoj alternativních přístupů. Stěžejní část práce je věnována třem dominantním přístupům k tvorbě profilu pachatele. Americká metoda FBI, označovaná jako Criminal Investigative Analysis, pracuje... Psychological profiling of the perpetrator of murder Abstract This diploma thesis focuses on the forensic method of psychological profiling of an unknown perpetrator of murder and its role in criminal investigation. The aim of the thesis is to critically assess the extent to which the outputs of psychological profiling can contribute to investigative practice, through the integration of theoretical knowledge with the analysis of real cases. The thesis first defines the concept of psychological profiling, highlighting the persistent terminological inconsistency that has accompanied this method since its inception. Definitions provided by leading experts are presented - from the FBI approach represented by John E. Douglas, through David Canter's British investigative psychology, to Brent Turvey's behavioral evidence analysis. The historical development of the method is traced from early pseudo- rational forms of profiling, through the case of the New York Mad Bomber George Metesky, considered the first modern application of psychological profiling, to the institutionalization of the method within the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit in the 1970s and 1980s and the subsequent development of alternative approaches.
