Tato bakalářská práce předkládá výklad modálního ontologického důkazu Boží existence, jak jej formuloval Alvin Plantinga ve své knize The Nature of Necessity z roku 1974. Práce nejprve nastiňuje Plantingovu motivaci k tvorbě tohoto důkazu a zabývá se pojmovým a logickým aparátem modální logiky jakožto předpokladem pro pochopení modálního ontologického důkazu. V této práci je představen i původní ontologický důkaz Boží existence svatého Anselma z Canterbury, z něhož Plantinga vychází. Práce dále analyzuje jednotlivé premisy jednak Anselmova důkazu, jednak Plantingovy modální verze, a vyrovnává se s některými námitkami. This bachelor's thesis presents an exposition of the modal ontological argument for the existence of God as formulated by Alvin Plantinga in his book The Nature of Necessity from 1974. The thesis first outlines Plantinga's motivation for developing this argument and adresses the conceptual and logical apparatus of modal logic as a prerequisite for understanding the modal ontological argument. It also presents the original ontological argument for the existence of God by Saint Anselm of Canterbury, on which Plantinga draws. The thesis then analyses the individual premises both of Anselm's argument and of Plantinga's modal version, and engages with some of the principal objections raised against them.
