Jádro práce tvoří srovnání společenstev v lesních, zemědělských a silně narušených urbánních habitatech primárně z evropských metropolí. Práce sleduje změny biodiverzity pod tlakem městských stresorů, mezi něž patří chemická kontaminace, tepelné ostrovy, solení komunikací, sešlap a odstraňování organického opadu. The introductory section defines springtails as a key component of soil biota and discusses their bioindicative properties, which enable the monitoring of soil environment quality. The core of the thesis consists of a comparison of these communities in forest, agricultural, and highly disturbed urban habitats, primarily across European metropolises. The work observes changes in biodiversity under the pressure of urban stressors, which include chemical contamination, heat islands, road salting, trampling, and the removal of organic litter. The theoretical findings are compared with the author's own pilot faunistic survey conducted at selected locations in Prague (Těšnov, Střelecký ostrov, Karlovo náměstí, and Albertovský svah). The synthesis of the acquired data confirms that the biodiversity of springtails in Prague accurately reflects the intensity of green space management and the level of human impact. The thesis thus provides a broader perspective on the biota of urban soils and highlights the fundamental importance of more sensitive maintenance of urban greenery (e.g., preserving leaf litter), which is crucial for the functioning of...
