Východiska: Rekreační užívání kratomu v České republice od roku 2022 výrazně roste, a to zejména u mladší populace. Zvyšuje se i podíl klientů v adiktologických službách s problémy způsobenými jeho užíváním. Kratom však zároveň vykazuje terapeutický potenciál jak v adiktologii, tak v medicíně. Současně je kratom od 1. 1. 2026 první psychomodulační látkou dle nově zavedené legislativy. Užívání kratomu má dlouholetou tradici v jihovýchodní Asii, v Evropě je označován za novou psychoaktivní látku a větší výzkumná pozornost je mu věnována až v posledních letech. Práce se zabývá otázkou toho, co bylo o kratomu v souvislosti s institucemi ČR vyzkoumáno a jak lze získané poznatky uplatnit v klinické praxi a veřejné politice. Cíle: Cílem této práce je zmapovat a zanalyzovat recenzované publikace zaměřené na kratom, publikované autory s pracovní či studijní příslušností s institucemi ČR, a na základě analýzy navrhnout doporučení pro klinickou praxi a veřejnou politiku. Metody: Práce je teoretického charakteru, jako metodika bylo zvoleno scoping review, zpracované za využití nástroje PRISMA-ScR. Výzkumný soubor tvoří 28 recenzovaných publikací věnujících se kratomu, jejichž autoři spolupracují s českými institucemi. Sběr dat probíhal od 1. 11. 2025 do 12. 3. 2026. Publikace jsou kategorizovány dle základní... Background: Recreational use of kratom in the Czech republic is significantly rising, especially among younger people. The portion of clients in addictological services, seeking help due to problems caused by kratom usage, is also getting higher. Concurrently, kratom shows therapeutic potential in the fields of addiction medicine and medicine in general. Furthermore, under the new legislation effective as of January 1, 2026, kratom has become the first psychomodulatory substance in the Czech republic. The usage of kratom has a long history in Southeast Asia; however, in Europe, it is labeled as a new psychoactive substance and has received more research attention only in the last few years. This study focuses on what has been researched about kratom in the context of Czech institutions and how can the newly acquired insights be applied in a clinical environment and also in public policymaking. Aim: The aim of this study is to map and analyze peer-reviewed publications focused on kratom that were published by authors affiliated with Czech institutions, and, based on this analysis, to propose recommendations for clinical practice and public policy.
