cze Abstract:
Závěry naznačují, že režisér svou tvorbou redefinoval tradiční percepční diváckou smlouvu a změnil jednorázové sledování velkofilmu v dlouhodobou intelektuální a společenskou událost. This master's thesis explores how contemporary audiences receive and interpret narrative complexity in the films of Sir Christopher Nolan, focusing on the fine line between audience fascination and cognitive frustration. Through a mixed-methods research design combining a quantitative survey of three hundred respondents with in-depth semi-structured interviews with twenty viewers, the thesis analyzes the breaking point in audience tolerance in detail. Using a comparative case study of the films Inception (2010) and Tenet (2020), the research demonstrates that audiences are willing to engage in a demanding intellectual game only when it is balanced by a strong emotional anchor and the possibility of empathetic connection with the main characters. If the human dimension gives way to pure mechanics, the fascination can quickly turn from passionate plot decoding into semantic alienation. The thesis also demonstrates the crucial role of participatory culture and collective intelligence in the digital environment. Online discussions and explanatory videos serve as key frustration mitigators, through which individual confusion from the cinema is transformed into a shared community triumph. The findings suggest that through his work, the director has redefined the traditional perceptual viewing contract...
